CS 1.6 crash without error code when loading the map at "validating game resources" step

I dont know what make , please help me !

Verify integrity of game cache of CS 1.6 . On steam, sometimes not all files for HL1 games download first time.

Are you using OpenGL rendering?

Edit: Intel HD graphics - try settings Windows 7 compatibility mode on hl.exe.

Use Compatibility Mode "Windows 7" for Half Life's exe file.

Full instructions:

1. Open Steam
2. Right click on "Half-Life" in your Library
3. Click "Properties"
4. Click the "Local Files" tab
5. Click "Browse Local Files"
6. Find and right click on the "hl.exe" file or the "hl" application. It could look like this[i.imgur.com] OR this[i.imgur.com]
7. Click "Properties"
8. Tick "Run this program in compatibility mode for"
9. Select "Windows 7" in the dropdown
10. Click "OK"
11. Close the window
12. Launch Half-Life

I think you should probably clean install your graphics drivers.

Download DDU, run the exe (it's self extracting), then reboot to safe mode, then run it, click clean and restart, then in Windows it should auto install graphics drivers again.

If it doesn't you can download them from your vendors website (download a copy before you start the process)
