Unbinding just x and 8 wont help, becouse he said he connects to other servers when he presses buttons - x,8, or some other button.

That's why we gave him an example . Maybe not all keys are binded , so he can unbind only the ones that are redirecting him

It is more easy to unbind all keys then to go trought all keys and test witch of them are bad

Uninstalling the game when you can solve your problem easier is like saying " My PC is not working, I should smash him " . You must think clear . The problem you have here is an eternal problem in CS 1.6 community . The server administrators are binding your keys so that you will be redirected to their server . It's not " legal " , neither " illegal " , but they bring a lot of players on their servers this way . Any Steam owner of this game can avoid this thing by doing two things :

1. Opening their game folder ( X:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\halflife\cstrike , where " X " is your hard drive where Steam is installed ) . Open config.cfg with a text editor and add the next command : cl_filterstuffcmd 1 . This way, all server commands sended to you will be ignored . Save, close , then right click on config.cfg . Check if " read-only " is ticked or not . If it isn't , tick it . A bad side to this thing is that all the settings you will change in-game won't be saved . The good side is that you won't be affected by plugins that destroy/modify your game . If you want to change something, untick the " read-only ", change what you want , save , then tick again .

2. If you have binded keys, you must delete config.cfg or delete the lines that contain them . Then, you must enter in the game for the file to be created again , and clean .

3. Delete all files with the .cfg extension . Some admins will forcefully create them on your PC . This are executed by adding the line " exec name.cfg " in your config.cfg . Delete the lines if you have them, then do the same thing in the above step .

Reinstalling the game is only a waste of time , when you can do this thing easier and faster .

*************************************************************
Go to :

program files\steam\steamapps\common\halflife\cstrike

*************************************************************
2
*************************************************************

Delete your Config.cfg

*************************************************************
3
*************************************************************

Create a new file called Config.cfg

*************************************************************
4
*************************************************************
Right click the new Config.cfg

Click on Properties

and Check the option Read Only and Apply

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That way, servers wont be able to mess with your Config.cfg
