21 player limit on CS 1.6 LAN?!

Hi.
Every Christmas we get together for a Christmas LAN party.
But last year we stumbled upon a player limit problem when playing CS 1.6
We have two switches with 24 ports each (so a total of 48). The switches needs a router to work as well.

Last year we were 24 players. But we could not have more the 21 players in one game.
The Lan party keeps growing, so were sort of desperate to fix this before the next Lanparty in a few weeks.

So there is something stopping us from getting more players into one game. But what is stopping player 22,23,24… from joining?

Does anyone know what the problem might be?

I can't solve your issue but I just want to let you know I'm impressed you can get 24 people together for a CS 1.6 LAN party.

Did you write on the server.cfg that the max is 24 players? You can write up to 32 if I'm right

Are you hosting as a listen (ingame) or dedicated (HLDS) server?

Props to the guy that is playing tihs game, Was it easy to set up LAN party ? Did you just install steam and connect all players on your inner network and play ?
