Direct Play not install, game not work code error : 0x80071A90

The game requires installing Direct Play. I say Yes, not install and gives me code error : 0x80071A90 . Incredible, five hours for download and after this

hi, this must be some kind of hardware thing with directx. perhaps you could try to reinstall the drivers or look for other/e. g. older drivers. dx7.1. should be supported

I had the same problem, if you are running a Win 10 (like me) then maybe what I did might help you too: go to Windows Update, search for updates (the download is automathic), restart your pc and the next time it will ask for Direct Play it should work. -At least that's what happened to me-

I had this same issue. It was caused by Avast! anti-virus. Turning off the anti-virus allowed me to install DirectPlay

And...worked for me, too. Just turned off the file shield. Thank you for the help.

i also got that but i dont have Avast anti-virus what do i do! i was able to play but i got a new hardrive this is happening now
