Folk Tale
GF  [developer] Oct 1, 2012 @ 4:45am
Following a number of comments regarding what people might be prepared to pay for Folk Tale, we've started this discussion. Please post the maximum price you might be prepared to pay, a "comfortable" price, and a "bargain" price. Posts saying "I won't pay anything" will be deleted, as a no vote will suffice.

e.g. Max - $20, Comfort - $15, Bargain - $10

After such an amazing response, based on your comments we're pricing Early Access at what we believe is a reasonable USD$20 ( approx €15 ), representing a substantial discount on the expected final RRP to early adopters.

I would say what you posted is a good pricing guideline Max - $20, Comfort - $15, Bargain - $10. Depending on the length/quality of the game I would even go as high as 40.00. If my wife could spend hours building homes and cities like she does in the Sims and the quality is there this game could definitely be worth 30-40 dollars.

From what I have seen here it looks like it could be a good game so I would pay in the region of £20 - £25 for it, which equates to 30 - 40 of these dollars you speak of. Having a demo to play first would persuade me to part with cash at the higher end of that scale.

15€ which equals 19,35$ :) (Also you could add later on some DLCs)

From the look of the gameplay videos I would go as high as $40 depending on replay value and future expansions/DLCs.

I would like to pay $15 for it but it looks like it could be up to $40

from what i've seen i'd say ur priceline $20 - $10 is up to par if there's alot more content i havn't seen then i'd be willing to pay more.

I think $20 is the top. It does look like a neat game but if the price goes higher than that I'd be out or wait for a sale. Comfort price would indeed be about $15.

My idea for what I'd pay matches most of the comments here, but StormShadow said it best for me - $10 bargin up to $20 based on what I've seen of the content; perhaps more if the content goes much beyond what is here.
pre-sale i would like too see atleast a 25% off the max if you do due this but i say i would easly willing too pay $20-$30 if i see the game has good replayability.

Max: $40 Comfort: between $20 and $30 Bargain: between $10 and $20

19-29$ is what i would pay for it, without playing the demo/beta. What i would pay really comes down to future trailer footage of actual gameplay and so on. If the game is more then i expect, i would ofcourse pay more for it. Release more actual gameplay videos when it comes to building, it makes it easier to decide the price people would pay for the game.

max 30$ and need russian language :)

I would pay around $10 - $20 for it, I would feel very uncomfortable paying anything past 20 unless I was actally able to play a demo or a weeks trial of the game. (to actually see if I wanted it). To be honest, it reminds me of a walmart $9.99 game, something you wouldnt see next to the big tittles. (I would pay more if it had a full community support for suggestions + ocasional upgrades, but i think past $30 is overkill for this game)

I would love a demo first, comfort would be about $15-$20, but if demo shows really good content, would go up to $30, maybe $40
