- This update greatly improves the installation/uninstallation experience. All you need is follow an extra-easy steps and run a script for install the mod, without the need of messing with files. It's super easy! Take a look!
If you have been subscribed to this mod before the 1.2 update, I highly suggest you to repeat the Installation instructions detailed in the description page. That will ensure that you properly installed the mod in your computer and that the mod is running without any problem.
Thank you very much, guys!
PS: Next update will be for the High-Res version. I didn't experience any missing textures, but I think that I have a possible fix for those environments. I will try to push the update today, but I can't promise anything :D.
- Improved BSAOP_Uninstall.vbs file. Now it will check for all BSAOP files and will remove them. Now the uninstallation procedure has changed. You need to first unsubscribe from this mod and then run the script.
In order to update to this version, please, wait until Steam downloads and syncs the data and run again BSAOP_Install.vbs, just like you did when you installed the mod in the first time.
Probably, this new version contains a hotfix for some users experiencing crashes and missing textures. I couldn't find a bug in the initial release, but this version splits the files even more so it does assure that the game won't crash due my mod fault.
If the game is still crashing for you, please, post in the discussion tab explaining everything, and, if possible, attaching an screenshot or something. Make sure you didn't reach your Skyrim maximum active plugins (255). That means that if you have more than 255 plugins activated in your Skyrim launcher, the game won't work. Take in mind that this mod includes 6 plugins.
If the game is still crashing for you, then, probably it's not my mod fault, all of the probable issues that might have my mod were fixed in this release. Ask in Q&A if you want: http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/discussion/695212271/350532536101966511/
Added as well an automated script (BSAOP-HiRes_Uninstall.vbs) that you can run when you uninstall the mod to make sure that the mod is completely removed from your game.
Hope the bugged textures are finally fixed (thanks to henryx60 for the help! Appreciated!).
Some other changes were done apart from fixing the plugins that were causing load errors:
- Created a new installation script for people who would like to test the mod, but doesn't want to have 5 active mods in Skyrim (Remember that Skyrim has a limit of mods that could be loaded at once). Run BSAOP_HighRes_Install.vbs in order to configure the game to load the files correctly, if you don't want to use the .esp plugins.
- The name of the files were changed in order to prepare BSAOP for upcoming mod releases. That means that when Steam updates the mod automatically, it will install the new files, but it won't remove the old ones because they have a different name. If you run BSAOP_HighRes_Install.vbs or BSAOP_HighRes_Uninstall.vbs, they will be removed from your disk.
Some new things are coming, and I am excited about them! Stay tuned in http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/discussion/695212271/ so when the new update is released you will be the first to know! I suggest you to subscribe to that discussion thread, so you also know when you need to re-run the install vbs script (with every new update, you need to re-run the installation vbs script, always remember that!)
Also, but not least important, Happy New Year everyone!
Have a nice weekend!
PS: If everything goes well, the release of the new (exciting! :)) mods will be next friday! I will re-edit all the descriptions of the mod, because I think that some of them could be improved a lot to help people to understand what exactly the mod does.
Subscribe to this thread to be informed! Remember that you need to re-run the installation scripts for every update, so it's a good idea to receive a notification when an update is out!.
- All the files has been made from scratch. Yes, I deleted the old one and started all over. That means no more bugs with non-latin languagues and other bugs you were reporting!
- New flavours released!: For everyone, in order to have a better performance or an experience near vanilla. Read the description to know more!
- New descriptions: Yeah, the old one was confusing. Now the description of all different versions are merged in only one with only minor differences, so you don't need to read aaaaaaaaall the long text twice.
As always, please, follow the updating process stated in the description. If you want to try the newly released flavours, please, uninstall the old one and install the flavour.
Hope you like it! :)
After all this long time, I finally got some free time to create a new partition on my PC and install a fresh-new Windows installation on it for testing this. That means that I had a completely fresh Skyrim installation (no mods, no SKSE, nothing, just vanilla). I followed the instructions of my own mod's descriptions to install each of the BSAOP version, and they all worked perfectly on new games and even existing games (which I had because they were downloaded from the Steam Cloud's backup)
So, I discard any problem on Steam's side or Skyrim's side, because as I said, everything went as expected in my clean installation of Skyrim. I would like to help all of you who are having troubles with this, but please, check that you followed all the instructions properly.
Have a nice day!
PS: I'm posting this on every BSAOP thread, I don't want this to be unnoticed. Sorry if you had multiple notifications in your Steam dashboard :)
