Extra Train Station Tracks ( ETST )

How to make your own station that uses this mod
Create a new train station using vanilla template. Then bulldoze existing train station track after clicking 'Make All Segments Editable' toolbar button (provided by my More Network Stuff mod. Place elevated track after clicking its button in 'Trains' section of the roads panel (More Network Stuff provides that button). Make sure you've placed only one station track segment. It will be shorter than you need. Now you need to resize it. Click 'Make All Segments Editable' again. Remember id of 'Station Track Eleva' segment (from console output). Run this script[gist.githubusercontent.com] (by @boformer) from ModTools console to change segment's length and elevation (replace values you need including remembered segmentId). Place pedestrian paths to make the track accessible. My proof-of-concept implementation of an elevated train station is available here. It's just a regular train station with an elevated track. Working though ;)

Can I place the elevated station track in other elevations than 0m? Or the elevated station track has to be placed in 0m height and adjusted with script?

Of course you can. Make sure you're placing elevated station track and not trying to PgUp vanilla station track. They are different networks.

This is so great. i only have one concern.

Is it possible to make it in a way so that you don't need Modtools to fix that crossing i the middle? like making the section longer or something? Just to make it faster and easier to place especially if doing curvy stations!

Right now ModTools is the only way to do that

Hi, I get this error when I try to run the script: "a namespace can only contain types and namepspace declarations
in test.cs (2,5)"

Obviously, you made some syntax error while editing the script

I also thought this, butI just done CTRL+A CTRL+C CTRL+V and changed the segmentId. Scriptfile on disk is eqal to the gist version.
A other question: how to create a two track station?

I would like to have station tracks without any wires. Is there a way to do this? I am making custom train stations for a United States railroad system. I have the no catenary/no wire rail, but I cannot make station track.

I remember there being a station on the workshop (BP's Bright Coppice Station iirc) that was completely free-placeable, and to connect it to your city there is a pedestrian path node that you would connect an elevated path to. How can you make that?

e.g. make a station that doesn't snap to grid nor requires a road connection, and can be connected with ped paths?

Alternative way that only requires ETST and nothing else?
And P.S. Is the mod compatible with the latest update?

Also pls update the mod to be compatible. That's possible what caused my game to not function well.
