Holy Avatar vs. Maidens of the Dead

Philosophy and Improvements
Our philosophy in making a $5 RPG is developing specifically for the RPG subgenre "Fun RPG". Kind of a classic / oldschool RPG style with Monkey Island thrown in. Primary focus is the story and humor. It is about chuckling and relaxing with an easy-to-learn turn-based combat system. Combat should give some opportunity for strategy without being too complex for RPG & Adventure fans.

In the story around the caribbean "Holy Island", on which the maiden's paradise and vacation resort of His semi divine humble Self the mighty Holy Avatar is introduced, the central Element remains the same: chilling out and just having some fun. Even players with no prior knowledge of the Grotesque universe will be able to jump right in. Fans of the series will of course be rewarded with a few insiders and characters we have all grown to love.

In addition to a great story and universe, the Grotesque series boasts fantastic voice talent, with actors you may also know from games like The Walking Dead, World of Warcraft, Fallout, Assassin's Creed and League of Legends. And, going the extra mile to include great voice acting is why we need your votes on Steam's Greenlight. Only on Steam is making a $5 game with great voice acting even realistically possible. That's why it would be truly awesome of everyone if you could recommend Holy Avatar to your friends. No Steam means no English voice acting, and that would be a real shame.

Since Grotesque Tactics 1 and 2, we have made several changes and improvements. Your adventuring party is a little smaller, which makes the turn-based combat more fast-paced. Strategic elements like increased damage for backstabs were enhanced. For example, it is now possible to knock opponents to the ground, which makes them especially vulnurable while prone. Enemies have improved AI, more tactical abilities and can perform their own special attacks, use buffs or heal their allies. The camera has also been reworked and improved in response to fan-feedback on the old camera system.

The humor of Holy Avatar vs Maidens of the Dead takes some potshots at other fantasy and zombie titles. The beloved demigod Holy Avatar finally gets his spotlight as the game's narcissistic macho main character, which gave us plenty of chance to poke fun at his stereotypically cocky attitude and chauvinism, and an entire island of scantily clad maidens gives him plenty of chance to do what he does best. Pose heroically, of course.

hope that the new version will include some fixes for the stability of the game, the no two have a good game play, but lack some better controls once a while

Will it be also available for the 'Indie Jam 2'-Purchasers on Steam?
Or do we have to stick with Desura?

Having played a bit of it on Desura I have to say the style is perfect. I enjoy it more with the German voice acting though - adds a kitsch late night movie feel to the whole thing.

The turn--based combat is of course excellence - I don't know why you have to go through greenlight though as you already have games here on Steam.

This is months after DerElder replied, but are vampires even considered undead in Grotesque? Solithaire at the least has no concerns about sunlight, but does have the thirst. Then again, Grotesque seems to have its own rules regarding undead anyway. Angelina can heal Sweet Violence after all.
