Commonwealth and German forces clash at a small Belgian town of Bure. The map was created for the MapCore & Gamebanana Day Of Infamy mapping contest and has since been abandoned.

I couldnt play this map. I tryed it in practice mode with bots (offensive). so i couldnt spawn nether did bots. I couldnt choose unit. Looks really cool map, shame if this is dead project :(

How do you customize maps in this game

The original goal was to make entire map accessible to the player including having each building accessible and the paths around each building walkable, while this goal was accomplished it strained heavily on the creative visual end due to time limitations. It would be awesome if Bure had every building be unique visually, and physically while supporting some minor underlying narrative of the village.

Feedback Bure recieved on the initial layout was limiting, and due to time constraints additional feedback was minimal. There really isn't any constructive encouragment to continue developing Bure after the initial release so an update could take a while

Scripting isn't the issue, in fact I tried to help early in the contest as much as I could by reporting any bugs I noticed within the text files.

The contest ended before there was time to add/compile the coop entities or adjusting the text files to include coop. Originally the plan was to actually create seprate bsp file and calling it Bure_coop (this was done for Insurgency) Bure would recive changes to the layout to accomodate coop game modes while visual changes would include adjusting the time of day, increasing destruction to the village, etc.

Hey, Bev, this map is far too good not to be updated. I understand that you've chosen to do new things now, but how about if we add the cooperative mode "stronghold" to your map for you? We've been helping other mappers do the same, our Modtools is very skilled in this mode now.

Most likely you're not going to see any future updates unless Andre wants to mess with NWI's god awful scripting documentation and implement cooperative. We both moved on from Day of Infamy but I might come back in the distant future to do a massive visual/gameplay overhaul as I'm not satisfied with the map in it's current state. Sorry.
