Workshop addons do not even show up on the addons menu! Suggestions?

As the title says I am having issues with the workshop, it says they are downloaded and subscribed but nothing is showing up correctly.I have already re-installed the game and i have verified the cache and everything. Nothing worked. Any suggestions?

I haven't used the Workshop for any mods, but I hear that it downloads mods to the Workshop folder inside the addons folder (Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead 2\left4dead2\addons). The fix would be to take all of the .vpk files out of the Workshop folder and place them in the addons folder.

I have this same issue - everything was there until yesterday and today. I'll try this fix.

ah - they did load, but it took a large amount of time. Could it be if you start the first game before they fully load, then you don't see them the rest of the session? Anyhow, issue solved for now without me taking any action at all.
