That's a fantastic idea, the ability to que up in a plane and all spawn together as para-troopers.

Its a good idea but it needs really huge wide maps otherwise mg's would shoot and kill before they reach to the ground.

That's why you'd depend on your team to keep the MG's pinned down and surpressed.
Choosing dropzones that are out of the trajectory of mounted MG's would be pretty important too. I think in most cases it would be pretty hard to mount an MG and look up high enough to see paratroopers.
It could work, it would require lots of communication and teamwork though.

the weather is important. The paratroopers could jump in fog or at night.

Yeah, blinding baddies with smoke couldn't hurt either.
