i think steam should consider trying to get the license to sell Lord of the ring Battle for middle earth 2.
to me it is still the best RTS out there and EA stopped selling and or supporting it.

PLEASE steam get this game!!!

Steam is not people, it's the name of a website. Valve is people.

And they don't go out buying up licenses for other games. They don't need to. They don't want to.

Even if they did Electronic Arts wouldn't sell it to them.
And whoever is refusing EA the licence that prevents them from selling it would probably refuse Valve as well.

PS you have mistaken Greenlight for gog.coms wishlist function. Greenlight is not for requesting titles but for submitting titles (if you are a developer)

Actually it's the name of their digital distribution platform, but meh, everything else you said is spot on.
