That one was fun to play. Quite easy, as levitatingspleen said, I'd say the last part was a bit too easy. My first thought in part 1: why the hell would I like to turn off the funnel? :) But soon I got it.

And last 2 lines of your comment are exactly true - that's how the original Portal chambers were designed, so that the solution is easy to execute but you have to think to do it.
As it comes to that idea, it is good to introduce some new mechanics sometimes. If you're interested, you can look at my Workshop for "Superposition" maps, showing how funnels and fizzlers can be used in a new way.

Thx spleen, it's a fair assesment and I appreciate you taking the time to play and comment on it. I admit most of the ones I have done are relatively easy. I actually thought this one was a bit harder, oh well :) At least I know I can aim for something more difficult.

I want to avoid going the route of adding complexity or hiding elements in order to increase difficulty.

I'm really sorry this review has been long delayed, well, better late then never!

Funnily enough I had already played this chamber along with the most of the other butters chambers before you posted this here. A pattern I noticed in these tests is that they are generally well designed and visually interesting but too easy. This test however is more difficult. It is larger than its predeccesors and filled with toxic goo. I like that you did that because some more difficulty is a welcome challenge. The chambers themselves are also quite nice visually. Nothing is really confusing or obscured. Also they have lots of portable surfaces so you feel very mobile never stuck or trapped.

Review part 2

The problem I have with this test is that the puzzles, well they aren't too easy but they don't feel original. Nothing really feels unique or new. I've seen variations on all these puzzles repeated time and time again in different chambers. Its missing the flair that some of the earlier chambers.

Overall not a bad chamber, I've seen much worse, but I've also seen you produce better work.
