Hi, I'm not here to boost but promote your released game to over 500,000 real people [no bots are used]. My service is very cheap and I hope you will take me up on my offer.

Please contact me on steam

I've made a video about this game:
ToastGhost Oct 26, 2013 @ 1:46am
I remember playing an early demo and thinking it had great potential. I'm glad to see it greenlit and looking polished like their gun-metal protective armor.
DiogoSN Oct 25, 2013 @ 11:57am
COME ON! Release on Steam already!
FPS Oct 19, 2013 @ 2:59am
Just played the demo. It lacks some sort of tutorial or on-screen hints. And maybe some interface buttons for keyboard commands (not sure if it can be played by mouse only).
apsyse  [author] Oct 18, 2013 @ 5:48am
@Chizu Yes, I will although probably not till early November. Content added, price will move up, but all previous buyers will get Steam keys :)
Chizu Oct 18, 2013 @ 5:44am
Congrats on the greenlight~
I bought this not so long ago, played the old alpha a ways back to, glad to see you make it onto steam.

Are you going to be releasing as an "Early Access" release? I'd assume you are since you've used a similar method so far in giving purchases alpha/beta access.

Can't wait for the final product.
Pezi Oct 17, 2013 @ 8:49pm
No worries, I understand. Thanks for the "customer support"!
apsyse  [author] Oct 17, 2013 @ 8:44pm
@Pezi Nope, not annoyed. I've been answering key questions a lot in the last 24 hours, though, so I apologize if I got a bit terse :P

Incidentally you will of course get a Steam key if you purchased SM via Humble Widget - that's not a requirement, either!
Pezi Oct 17, 2013 @ 8:42pm
Oh, okay. I'm sorry, I've bought other games using the widget in the past and I've never gotten a desura key. I didn't know that it was possible. Again I'm sorry for my ignorance, you seem annoyed :(
apsyse  [author] Oct 17, 2013 @ 8:40pm
@Pezi Since I gave them a list of Desura keys to distribute to anyone who buys Steam Marines via their widget. It's not a requirement to use the Humble Widget - it's just something I do.
Pezi Oct 17, 2013 @ 8:39pm
Sorry by "gets you the game on steam" I meant that by buying through the humble widget we eventually get a steam key. So yea, I know about the steam keys and everything.

What I'm confused about is the "you still get a desura key" part. Since when does the humble widget give out desura keys?
apsyse  [author] Oct 17, 2013 @ 8:36pm
@Pezi It works as stated on the site. Steam Marines was Greenlit yesterday and is not yet available on Steam.
Pezi Oct 17, 2013 @ 8:33pm
Above the Humble Widget on your site it says "Buy Direct: DRM-free, I get a bigger cut, and you still get a desura key."

From what I know, buying using a humble widget gets you the game on steam, and on the humble store but NOT on Desura. Could you please clarify things? lol

Congrats on getting Greenlit on Steam! Thanks for Mac support too The Linux crowd would eat this up so hopefully you can get a port for them too Game looks great and I can't wait to play it!
apsyse  [author] Oct 16, 2013 @ 1:15pm
@Jack Dandy
Thanks! Am working hard on it! ^_^
Jack Dandy Oct 16, 2013 @ 1:01pm
Congratulations on making it on Steam! I want to play this already!

Finish the game and I'll buy it!
Jc80__ Oct 11, 2013 @ 7:53am
ok , good looking but I buy only games in spanish...
haekel Oct 10, 2013 @ 12:37pm
Will upvote it if you add Linux support.
bun Oct 9, 2013 @ 8:39am
to Always Geeky:
waiting for the multiplayer and improve graphics for yr game.
Always Geeky Oct 8, 2013 @ 8:24pm
Sooooooo much yes!
Markus Oct 7, 2013 @ 10:07am
without linux support, it's 'no thanks'.
smartbombradio Oct 6, 2013 @ 11:38pm
This looks like it plays NOTHING like FTL. They are both proceedurals on ships, but that's about it (person to person combat is barely a part of FTL - it's mostly ship v ship.) Can't wait to grab it when you make the cut!
Navalator Oct 6, 2013 @ 9:03am
just a copy of ftl.

Rolling Vulcan Oct 3, 2013 @ 9:03pm
I always like to play a roguelike and also space horror
Silvit Kuzan Oct 2, 2013 @ 7:23pm
Sounds like a good roguelike with a cool setting. Will be watching it progress.
The Slow Doberman Oct 2, 2013 @ 5:59pm
I'm a huge fan of Rougelikes, and this one looks pretty cool!
BaR_maN Oct 2, 2013 @ 1:39pm
I just like the same game
SrComegatos Oct 2, 2013 @ 12:23pm
Tiene muy buena pinta, pero por que nadie se acuerda del castellano? xD

@Fantomas I'm sorry, Google translate is not being very helpful >.<

@bun Did that when it was in open alpha. Didn't really add much to the game - actually detracts from the core mechanics, too.

kas ta vispar par speli ir ??
bun Sep 30, 2013 @ 8:30am
hmm how about implementing a clock countdown to ensure that players got to move before the time runs out? add to tension. some players might not like it though.
Bittamin Sep 29, 2013 @ 3:22am
Looks like it could use more animation, like when they shoot their guns for example.
Alarion Sep 25, 2013 @ 4:33pm
Me recuerda mucho a un Space Hulk y por lo que tengo entendido es de estilo rogue-like. A ver si tienes suerte y te lo sacan que tiene buena pinta ^_^
JDawg147 Sep 25, 2013 @ 10:38am
Looks like as is, this game looks like it could branch into multiplayer/co-op nicely.
MeanEYE Sep 25, 2013 @ 8:42am
@apsyse Thanks! It shouldn't be all that much different from OS/X. :)
apsyse  [author] Sep 24, 2013 @ 6:37pm
@MeanEYE Possibly in the future - no promises, though!

@bun Multiplayer is not a priority. In all honesty Steam Marines was not designed to be a multiplayer game. It's not off the table but significant changes would need to be made.

The autoswitch delay is long so that players don't accidentally key mash (you shouldn't be doing that anyway!) and act with an incorrect unit. You can shortcircuit the delay by manually switching to another marine (tab/ctrl/f1-f4).
MeanEYE Sep 24, 2013 @ 1:58pm
Game looks awesome. I wish there was Linux support.
bun Sep 24, 2013 @ 10:15am
Any chance to see a versus mode hotseat?
haha nothing beats a tactical battle with a friend hotseat.
with each turn end wih a black screen that says next player's turn.
bun Sep 24, 2013 @ 10:13am
hmm i would like to point out that the game's next player pause time, after u finish a teammate's AP is taking too long. currently its like 2 secs to me.
could u make it faster like 1 sec pause before the next team mate?
Zherax Sep 23, 2013 @ 4:29am
Man, I enjoyed playing the demo version on your the website ALOT.
When this gets Greenlit and Released, I will most definitely buy it
trangalho Sep 22, 2013 @ 11:37am
This reminds me of an old game that I played on the Amiga for entire days. I hope to see it finished.
apsyse  [author] Sep 22, 2013 @ 7:08am
That sweet, sweet Jesse Cox and Josh Mattingly lovin'! #30!
apsyse  [author] Sep 22, 2013 @ 6:58am
No, but I plan on adding some booze. Maybe I'll add food, too? xD
Lunick Sep 22, 2013 @ 6:57am
Is there any cheese in this game?
