Dinomite Nov 29, 2015 @ 11:49am
Is there a one where i don't need the DLC?
Sven_Halfviking Nov 3, 2015 @ 1:30pm
This mod + Ring of Namira = feeding on corpses. Sounds good to me. Can you do it? ;)
lwilson0916 Oct 25, 2015 @ 4:15am
make it so you can feed on corpses
Luci Aug 27, 2015 @ 5:12pm

IG_95 Aug 10, 2015 @ 9:09am

Alpha Omega Jul 28, 2015 @ 1:53pm

[MET] Aditsan Jul 11, 2015 @ 7:32am
So I tested and Stage 4 vampirism isn't setting me on fire. What's the deal?
[MET] Aditsan Jul 11, 2015 @ 6:56am
Subbing, good mod
:D Jun 20, 2015 @ 1:43pm
me too, I would like people to attack me if I am at stage 4 because I like the challenge
Comrade Red May 8, 2015 @ 12:58pm
Does this mod makes NPCs hostile when you advance to level 4? I would pretty much apreciate if it happens, because I think it should be easy to detect vampirism in people when it advances so much.
-=GHS=- Honor Guard May 1, 2015 @ 9:55pm
question is this ok with a mod that makes the drain spell better
Luci Nov 5, 2014 @ 4:07pm
I agree that having vampires grow powerful as they starve just doesn't make sense. It would also imply that those feeding on blood were trying to hide or 'escape' their vampirism, so it didn't follow that vampires were largely sadistic jerks.

Love the mod. Looking forward to the changes to the abilities and powers!
DesertDragon79 Oct 3, 2014 @ 11:36pm
@The boss, just dont be angry that he has an opinion that is not yours ok?
cheesy Aug 3, 2014 @ 9:29am
if your doing this can you fix the drain life spell because it still only does 2 damage after feeding
Boss/Bromora+Sharppy Jul 31, 2014 @ 11:51am
frost resistance is not the only upside and if your a nord then its even better and vampires have vampiric drain which takes health from others and gives you health which is awesome and also you have 100% poison resist and 100% disease resistance its harder to be detected you get night eye you can raise the dead and also frost resistance improves on stages!
I am sorry but this mod is stupid if you think its better then there you go but I think it is pointless and just accept it and dont get all angry because I have a opinon thats not yours
OK
Normalfag Apr 7, 2014 @ 5:31pm
Hate the feeding thing, i like that the more you don't feed the stronger you become, it makes so you don't have to worry about anything. Only fire mages of course lol.
botc16 Apr 5, 2014 @ 7:36pm

Régina Feb 19, 2014 @ 3:57pm
It is compatible with Simple Reverse Vampirism, Skyrim-Blood is Everything WIP LOS, Void Sword 2 (Dawnguard required), Heart Breaker - A Killmove Mod, Vampire Seduction - more seductive please, Better Vampire and Bloodthirst - Vampire NPCs can feed?
Baron Marios Jan 19, 2014 @ 6:19am
I like the mod although I think you should switch the stages so that as the player feeds they can obtain vampire's seduction and embrace of shadows. They are for the more powerful vampires, after all.
arcaneprophet Jan 15, 2014 @ 1:18pm
can you make it so people will attack you at stage 4?
Dan Comyn Sep 5, 2013 @ 4:12am
Just needs the progression of Vampiric Drain and Vampire's Servant switched around, then this would be perfect! :) I like Seduction at stage 2 to help get back to stage one, and i like Embrace of Shadows as a defence power when your strength is weakest.
Virgo.Marlane Aug 22, 2013 @ 9:30am
what about becoming a vampire lord before even getting bite by a regular vampire for the stages to take effect? do u still catch fire in the sun? i know dumb last question lol
Infiltrator Mar 10, 2013 @ 12:40pm
@skotie2007 (if you want to skip a ton of lore look at the last sentence). Because werewolves were created by Hircine who wanted them to be his perfect army and most of them didn't become his soldiers. Sad things is though, he really meant in death. When you die you go to the Hunting Grounds instead of Sovngarde (hope I spelled that write). It's a lore side effect in other words.
skotie2007 Dec 13, 2012 @ 12:43am
Question, why do werewolfs seem to have zero side effects (no resting bonus OMG no! lulz!) while vampires seemed to be plagued with them? Weaker in sunlight, constant need to fed (unless you want a mob to kill you), powers( that suck to begin with) that disappear upon feeding, weakness to fire.
Dreampuke Sep 22, 2012 @ 7:37pm
the reason you get more powerful and weaker at the same time as vampire is because the lack of mortal blood brings out the blood of the vampire. by nature vampires are weak to the sun and overall become stronger.
IIsNube Aug 24, 2012 @ 11:40am
@Dyrisk
The mod is not suposed to change the stages that you get your powers at (as of now at least). Perhaps you should read the description before you post something in the comments section. Besides, I think Vampire's Suduction should reamain a higher stage power anyways as it gives you the oportunity to feed and lower your stage.
Dyrisk Aug 22, 2012 @ 1:26pm
This mod doesn't seem to be working. I still lose the Vampire's Seduction power when I feed and get it back after not feeding.
Deacon Braddock Aug 21, 2012 @ 7:35am
Does feeding bump you up all the way to level 1 or just up 1 level?
Barnacle Boy Aug 18, 2012 @ 5:20pm
zombies dont eat brains they eat flesh.
Madao Aug 17, 2012 @ 2:38pm
@H2n4 Flu

And zombies, as you allready know, do not NEED brains, but they still crave it...

However, every fictional universe has a different perspective of commonly known mythological creatures/fictional creatures...

REAL mythology ice giants are not genetically mutated frost trolls... as they appear to be in the dawnguard expansion.

Wikipedia is not where you should be reading.
Madao Aug 17, 2012 @ 2:36pm
@H2n4 Flu

Wikipedia... Did that mention anything about sparkling vampires, if i may ask? And immortality is completely different from Invincibility, any immortal creature can be slain, deadric princes are JUST like that, with a slightly different case of course, the definition of Immortality is, as i probably allready said, Not dying from hunger/thirst, diseases or poisons, or aging...

Vampires are corpses, they do noty need food, neither can they die from poisons or diseases... unless they are magically enhanced of course, and corpses do not age either. Being a a walking corpse, or, undead, is just another form of immortality, end of story.
Overseer Aug 17, 2012 @ 12:30pm
I see what you did, though gazzmilsom makes a good point, too. I'm just glad I have an informed choice.
gazzmilsom Aug 17, 2012 @ 7:22am
This isn't how vampires work in TES lore. They feed to reduce the effect of sanguinare vampiris. Its how they treat their disease. So If left untreated the symptoms of sanguinare vampiris get worse, so the player gets all the good things and all the bad things like the sun burning you. If you treat your symptoms you have less strengths but also less weaknesses and people talk to you.

This creates in game balance and it makes sense. This mod lets the player have full vampire powers when they also have the minimum weaknesses. And also feeding lets you appear normal very important for not being attacked on sight.

It pretty simple really. Dont feed, sanguinare vampiris gets worse you reap its benefits but also its weaknesses. Feed and sanguinare vampiris is repressed you have less powers but also fewer weaknesses. Its an illness in TES. Like how the dwemer/dwarves are the same height as a dunmer and all dead, not all fantasy worlds have to be the same.
Excidium Aug 16, 2012 @ 3:16am
Nice Mod - The "correct" way Vampires should be. Although maybe in future versions you could also include Vampire Powers & Spells (Vampiric Drain/Seduction) in 'reverse'. It would also be great to make a version doesn't have the extra 'benefits' (+Destro/Resist Dmg) you've included naming the Mod 'Pure Vampire Reverse' or something along those lines. Anyway, thanks for your efforts.
Lorkhan Aug 14, 2012 @ 8:45pm
i quote the first line: "Dawnguard is required for this mod"
WorstGangPlankWorld Aug 14, 2012 @ 12:50pm
do you need dawngaurd
godzilla90fan Aug 13, 2012 @ 10:43am
Ah, earlier the "in sunlight" bit wasnt there. Makes perfect sense now. Subscribing :)
MuJunyi Aug 12, 2012 @ 7:52pm
You realize, of course, that Nern exists in a separate universe from our own, and thus vampirism may work very differently in that different universe. Also, there are many different clans of vampires in TES, and the rules governing each clan is different. You can't make some compatible with mythos outside TES Lore and expect it to remain TES Lore-friendly, yeah?
The Mad Walker Aug 12, 2012 @ 7:44pm
you forgot the abilities of the vampires.
godzilla90fan Aug 12, 2012 @ 4:50pm
I don't see it in my active effects, and its not listed as an effect on the wiki.
Patriarachnid  [author] Aug 12, 2012 @ 4:25pm
@godzilla90fan
The heath, stamina and magica redux was always there, mod or no mod.
Patriarachnid  [author] Aug 12, 2012 @ 4:23pm
@Shinjou
Here is the first sentance of the Wikipedia entry for vampires:
"Vampires are mythological or folkloric beings who subsist by feeding on the life essence (generally in the form of blood) of living creatures, regardless of whether they are undead or a living person/being." Not that they drink blood for the fun of it, but that it's REQUIRED FOR THEM TO SURVIVE.
Also, zombies are corpses, and they can die. Also also, you can KILL VAMPIRES IN THE GAME. Thus, vampires are not entirely immortal, and undead are not immortal either.
godzilla90fan Aug 12, 2012 @ 4:19pm
Only thing that bothers me is the reduced health stamina and magicka at stage one. Is that a typo? If not what is the reason for this? Also, can you buff physical damage also? I always imagined vampires being super strong, they are in every movie I ever saw lol. Love this though
Madao Aug 12, 2012 @ 3:27pm
Also, i think there is a bug with the expansion allready, it says when you are fully starved that you are supposed to be shunned and feared... though NPCs do nothing but comment my skin colour... >_>
Madao Aug 12, 2012 @ 3:27pm
We're talking about bethesda lore here, all vampires in all stgories are different in some way, shape or form.

Vampire are immortal, not because they drink blood, but because they are walking fucking corpses...

In this case, trueblood vampires can transform into their true form.
They are just as much a corpse as they were before transformation, Corpses dont NEED food, though the price of undeath is constantly craving it. Vampires become more "alive" when drinking blood, allowing them to easier walk in sunlight, and blend in with mortal societies.

Vampires dont drink blood to sustain themselves, they drink blood because their instincts wont shut up about it. Only the most disciplined vampire can go centuries or even eternities without drinking blood, or going nuts... though eventually one slips, and dies one way or another. You gain boons for drinking blood, and also for NOT drinking blood. Ask molag bal about the vampire curse if you wanna know more :P
Lorkhan Aug 12, 2012 @ 3:25pm
i agree with H2n4 Flu, any being, even magical needs to feed if it wants to survive. vampires are noexception. aven if your explaination, shinjou, makes sens with bethesda's phylosophie.
Patriarachnid  [author] Aug 12, 2012 @ 3:10pm
@Shinjou
the tiger thing makes sense, in theory. But a hungry tiger won't survive as long in a blizzard as a well-fed one will. A well-fed tiger has a better chance of surviving being hit by a truck than a starving one. Anything well fed will have better defenses than a starving creature,.

Originally, vampires had their frost resistance buffed as they starved. Almost all vampire-related attributes were for defense purposes only. Insticts and all that starving tiger crap will to protect you if a goddamned glacier is flying at you.

And, according to lore, vampires are only immortal if they constantly drink blood. So there's that.
