@Nayon, did you unsubscribe to the required mods or mod it needs to work?
Kitty-VonTease Jul 31, 2013 @ 7:36am

This version of the mod will no longer be updated. However I am currently in the process of completely rebuilding the mod from scratch. It is currently in beta and is available from the Skyrim Nexus HERE [skyrim.nexusmods.com]. It has been optimised to provide a smoother, less buggy experience and features new weapons and weapon models. Once it has been completed I will release it here on the workshop as well[/b]

the game crashes after the bethesda logo when I have this mod activated.
taggerung47 May 5, 2013 @ 5:29pm
help? I cant use this or any of the other throwing weapon expansion mods you've designed. My game keeps crashing right after Bethesda logo and I am using reloaded. Reloaded throwing weapons mod works fine and is a lot of fun, but I would love to be able to use your other mods!

Excellent mod overall. It adds a new dimension to Thief gameplay. However I use skyre which I believe is incompatible with the throwing weapon perks. Is there any way to fix this?
christos170 Apr 14, 2013 @ 9:49am
I will download once this is complete, please let me know. This idea is brilliant!
Chohgin Apr 8, 2013 @ 5:30am
About my last comment I accidentally put it on the wrong mod.
Chohgin Apr 8, 2013 @ 5:29am
I don't know if you've had this comment before and I apologize if you have.
When sneaking I find that the damage is negated when using throwing knives. When I'm completely hidden I get the damage no problem, but then I'm noticed and in the time between me being noticed slightly and full detection all my damage is zero or near zero. Even on skeevers I do no damage. Maybe this was fixed with the other throwing weapons mod you have released, but i wanted the add ons. If it is fixed in the other patch please let me know. Otherwise I love this mod, and feel totally BA when I start slaughtering people with dual throwing knives.

also did the same to me gunna try this one more time with the older version cause i did not have much a problem with it
Arinomi Mar 23, 2013 @ 6:00am
I'm having crashes too, and I'm using Reloaded.
Crimson Ghost Mar 22, 2013 @ 5:48pm
I am curious about those who have crashing at start up;

Are you using the initial version of Death From Afar or the "Reloaded" version?
trippinthroughmiami Mar 17, 2013 @ 7:01am
Same as edumansky, keeps crashing on start up. Pls help!
silenceofthewolf Feb 25, 2013 @ 9:13am
this mod collection is so good it should replace the default archery tree completely :)
Edvard-D Feb 22, 2013 @ 2:34pm
My game is also crashing right after the Bethesda logo, and I installed the second version of the main mod. Any ideas? The main mod by itself doesn't cause the game to crash.
Homesick Feb 21, 2013 @ 10:22am
All the perks show up on my skill trees except the smithing ones..
SuperChill Jan 16, 2013 @ 3:48am
You should change the in-game text of ballanced axes. The title is accurate, the description is vague. Use the same description you have here and the problem will be solved. :)

I am having an issue with sneak attacks as well. It seems as though the weapon throw itself is alarming enemies. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Are there any adjustments to be made to compensate? I feel like it's 'ok', but not realistic to hear a sword swinging in the air from 10 feet to yards away. Possibly add to muffled movenments to make weapon actions silent or silent from a certain distance away. (For w/e reason I can kill a lv 10-15 Mammoth on hard mode with ONE sneak attack with a javelin, but throw over 20 to kill the one charging me. Any suggestions on ballancing or is it a glitch with Thrown Weapons?)

I got this mod and when I start the game it closes after the bethesda logo. I turn it off and it works again, I really want to use this perk do you know a fix? it also does the same with the quiver for throwing weapons mod.
Amara the Barbarian Jan 6, 2013 @ 2:03am
Is it possible for them to have an independant perk tree? Just thinking that throwing knives is largely different from firing a bow...
do u remember her ? Dec 31, 2012 @ 3:03pm
The second Nefnoj. The re-upload fixed bugs.
Nefnoj Dec 26, 2012 @ 9:55pm
After the Bethesda logo, this somehow caused my game to crash. Do I need the second 'Throwing Weapons - Death From Afar' mod or the first.
Groovemancer Nov 30, 2012 @ 2:59pm
@Madrilous - When adding them to the perk tree in the Creation Kit there were no issues at all, but then when I'd start the game up, they didn't show up but the pathway to them was showing up. Then going back into the Creation Kit it would say "Invalid Perk". I'm thinking your right that something with some kind of script is causing the problem, not entirely certain as I've never had problems with adding a new perk to a perk tree in the past.
Raiseo Nov 30, 2012 @ 2:09pm
Adding a new tree separate from archery is out of the question, right?
Madrilous  [author] Nov 30, 2012 @ 12:42pm
@They Call Me Tim I've got a feeling that because the perks are involved ALOT with scripts to achieve the desired effects a simple merging wont work easily. As the scripts reference the exact perks from a list. I guess maybe there could be a solution with using the perks within a list but this could be awkward to implement.
Groovemancer Nov 27, 2012 @ 6:00pm
@Raiseo Hitsu - I suppose I could, but I've been having trouble even getting it to work. What I thought would be a simple merging of the two perk trees, i.e. adding these Death From Afar perks into the ACE Archery perk tree, ended up being an unsuccessful venture for me. I may take a look at it again in the future, but right now I couldn't get it to work.
Raiseo Nov 25, 2012 @ 1:37am
Aha, so there is no chance you will make public such a change?
Groovemancer Nov 23, 2012 @ 8:49pm
@Raiseo Hitsu - I agree. Would also like to see it compatible with ACE Archery. I'm sure I could do it myself for my own use if need be.
Raiseo Nov 23, 2012 @ 1:22am
It would be awesome if you could make this compatible with the ACE Archery, since I don't know which one to use.
Malnayil Nov 12, 2012 @ 12:50pm
Any chance you could make this mod compatible with (or post a version that is compatable with) Alans extended archery skill ?
Viking Moose Nov 6, 2012 @ 6:59am
Is this compatible with the Throwing Knives mod?
Milktooth89 Oct 2, 2012 @ 6:32pm
Thanks stacks mate! This is one of my favourite mods! Just a quick one... The perk Shadow Throw isn't working for me. I've already moved your mods to the top of the list, and I can't seem to find another mod that is conflicting with this.
Pragmatik Oct 2, 2012 @ 6:28pm
Yeah, any update on when Shadow Throw will be fixed? It's the only thing keeping me from using the mod. That and the Iron Throwing Daggers don't always release.
Romulus Oct 1, 2012 @ 4:53pm
What are the perameters for shadow throw to work. I'm using steel knives and nothing seems to happen.
bnrboy1121 Sep 25, 2012 @ 12:09pm
Cool mods man! love them
Executioner Sep 24, 2012 @ 8:09am
you wouldn't happen to have the console command codes to add these perks would you? i'm at a really high level and it will take me forever just to get to the next level
Dahlya Sep 12, 2012 @ 3:25pm
I am not sure if this would be unbalanced or overpowered, but do you believe it is possible to add a perk to the throwing weapons that works like the bow perk "Eagle Eye", which lets you zoom in your target?
TsuGooGahRou Sep 10, 2012 @ 7:23pm
If I wanted to add these through the console what are the perk IDs. Thank you for your time and awesome mod :D

Madrilous  [author] Sep 10, 2012 @ 3:41pm
@ThandiGhandi707 This would seem logical but from a development point of view it would be a nightmare. Every time I made a change I would have to do it twice as both versions would have to be kept seperate. I apologise that you need to have 5 mods installed but its much simpler this way :P

@yoh_sl Yeh a couple of people have reported this, Ill take a look at it for the next update.

@Iron Patriot The hit the subcribe button, the next time you run Skyrim you will download it automatically
IcyDeadPeople Sep 10, 2012 @ 3:38pm
@Thandi you can simply open the collection pages and click the "Subscribe to All" button

ThandiGhandi Sep 10, 2012 @ 12:10pm
Can you put all of the mods into one for the people that want all this stuff but don't want the 5 mods installed separately?
yoh_sl Sep 10, 2012 @ 12:49am
I think there is a bug with the javelins, where they are knocking back enemies with every attack, even without the perk. I suppose I could understand if it was only limited to power attacks with the peak, but the way it is you just stun lock everything, killing any difficulty in the game.

Otherwise, it's a cool mod. Keep up the good work.
John Walker Sep 9, 2012 @ 4:38pm
Where can I download this from?
IcyDeadPeople Sep 3, 2012 @ 9:46pm
Oh wow, this is great - didn't realize you have uploaded the Perk Trees plugin to Steam Workshop as well. I've subscribed to all your Throwing Weapons collection now, and I'll be starting a new character to try this.
Justlost|G!X|® Aug 31, 2012 @ 4:47pm
i dont suppose this mod gives extra perks so i can put points in them?
Cheshire Aug 28, 2012 @ 12:00am
Just leveled shadow throw and nothing is different. No sneak attack critical message and no change in damage. :(
Cheshire Aug 27, 2012 @ 9:47pm
Yet another thumbs up, favorted mod. Madrilous is my new favorite. I also have the issue with the multiple knives perk. It indeed throws at least four knives with one dropping just in front of the character. However, from the sound effects is seems like only two knives are hitting. Not 100% on that though, just an impression I got. More perks would be awesome so that throwing weapons can be their own build, but what you have here is by far the best thing to happen to my skyrim in a long time.
JoshIsMerry Aug 27, 2012 @ 3:01pm
ah, i see. well, its still good as it is. nice modding mate
Madrilous  [author] Aug 27, 2012 @ 2:56pm
Nope, the game has a preset group of weapon types. These can only be modified and added to if you have access to the base game which Bethesda has and we do not. If I just made it act like a bow you would hold out your left arm and pull back your right arm as if you were firing a bow and the weapon would fly out on release. This would look pretty strange,
JoshIsMerry Aug 27, 2012 @ 2:39pm
could it not just be done like a bow? thats draw and release, would that not work? sorry i dont really know much of the technical side of things
Madrilous  [author] Aug 27, 2012 @ 11:46am
@Joshua Merrick Not much I can do about this I'm afraid. To do this I would have to create my own weapon type complete with my own animations and the current tools do not allow for this. I agree that a hold and release system would be better but unfortunately I am limited by the CK
