i love the visuals of the benchmarks
FG9K Moist Pancakes Feb 14 @ 9:26pm
hey just greenlight this ok? thx.
wolfy007 Jan 31 @ 7:15pm
Come on Steam, the Unigine Benchmark/Test tools are perfect for stress testing a system, all while giving a nice demo and visual cue that nothing has crashed. Not to mention a lot of people now use it as the first test to stress a video card and tweak a systems cooling.
Al Jan 25 @ 1:11pm
DirectX12 - windows dependeced sh1t. Normal programm must Run on Linux, Windows and Mac. and must use normal engine - Vulkan or OpenGL (cross-platform) . Unigine bechmarks are excellent beauty and crossplatrom. Only DX11-12 software is a crap, and authors must learn how to create crossplatform software. I wont pay for windows, ms office and other ms or adobe crap. If pay money to crossplatform game and engine authors like Unigine - world be better.
Miklosh Jan 25 @ 10:15am
Shame Steam's moderation team!
We need Superposition Benchmark here!
Edelplastic Jan 22 @ 9:21am
Why 3D Mark is at Steam? They paid lot to Valve?
[ZM] | Dr. Dro Jan 21 @ 7:24am
I wonder why does Futuremark get a pass then... :S
McShave07 Jan 20 @ 11:04pm
Well it not like we've needed Steam for the Unigine benchmarks before, but it's still a dumb move from Valve. Really REALLY dumb. Unigine will always be my goto bench marking tool.
fjmac65 Jan 20 @ 6:44pm
Wow thx for update
UNIGINE Corp.  [author] Jan 18 @ 9:08pm
Sorry guys, but Steam doesn't want benchmarks here, so see you on other platforms.
You can track news here:
RavagerOfDreams Jan 9 @ 4:37pm
Wait....I just read that it does not support DX12 still??? Isn't that like making a truck without support for 4 wheel drive? It will be pretty pointless w/out it....
RavagerOfDreams Jan 9 @ 4:33pm
Please release this soon, I love Valley and would like something like it that supports DX12.
RavagerOfDreams Jan 9 @ 4:32pm
OuchThatHurt I have a Gigabyte GTX 780 and it runs fine. I have routinely used Valley for benchmarking for two years and it has never done what you described. Heaven is REALLY old now, it shouldn't crash anything made in the last 5 years, let alone something with a 1080. Something has to be wrong with your setup. Or does the 1080 run hotter for some reason???
RavagerOfDreams Jan 9 @ 4:29pm
koldghost962 got to get a better computer then lol
koldghost962 Jan 9 @ 8:08am
the guys at unigine need to make a live wall paper or something, i could watch heaven or valley all day but the temps quickly kill that
OuchThatHurt Jan 9 @ 6:49am
if you own an EVGA 1080 FTW you can crash them using Heaven .... even after they've had the thermal mod and VBIOS updates ....can't wait to melt mine with this
Fenriswolf Jan 7 @ 6:10pm
Looking forward to Stress test my rig and enjoy the wonderful graphics
RenGenCZ Jan 7 @ 2:47am
It looks very good

Always quality from Unigine.
[ZM] | Dr. Dro Dec 23, 2016 @ 12:24pm
Aww. It's alright though. Thank you for your time and good luck!
UNIGINE Corp.  [author] Dec 22, 2016 @ 11:17pm
[ZM] | Dr. Dro,
Thank you for the clarifications!

Unlike fully synthetic benchmarks our goal in the upcoming benchmark is to provide as much close to real-world Gaming / VR workload. That includes modern rendering approaches that we'll hope to cover in the future updates :)

Returning to your question regarding releasing other benchmarks on Steam: it's not possible due to many reasons (including the technical ones), sorry. Future benchmarks we hope would be published on Steam :)

Two identical setups should give you an almost identical results.

JailBreakMKTP Dec 22, 2016 @ 6:57am
Well said!
[ZM] | Dr. Dro Dec 21, 2016 @ 12:50pm
No offense James, you must not benchmark a lot of computers actually.

However, 3DMark is also guilty as charged of that, which is why it offers a graphics, a physics and/or CPU, a combined and an overall score. That way it will basically snitch out when a builder is inexperienced or a cheapskate, using high quality, high frequency, low latency and low temperature (read, high end cooling) parts is crucial to score high in a benchmark. Likewise, Unigine suffers a hit in performance. but since it doesn't score each major subsystem like 3DMark, these people just blame the software instead.

Slapping a Core i7 and calling it a day won't give you a competitive edge in benching and might as well make your rig look embarrassingly weak next to an inferior build. I personally like Unigine's benchmarks not only because of the outstanding art, but because it's representative of a computer's actual gaming muscle.
jamesrideout2 Dec 21, 2016 @ 6:44am
what are you on about runaque , ive been using this bench since release and have seen nothing of what you have mentioned
Runaque Dec 21, 2016 @ 3:26am
How are the results going to be to interpret the scores of the benchmark? You see the weirdest scores with Heaven if you compare to similar computer system, a far more superior system with lower scores then less powerful systems.
jamesrideout2 Dec 20, 2016 @ 11:37am
whens this coming q416 is nearly over
#RolloInfame Dec 18, 2016 @ 3:14am
I can't wait! On website they say "q4 2016", it's almost christmas, when it will be available? :)
X-1 Dec 18, 2016 @ 2:10am
looks really epic! Can't wait to see it personally :D
Arcticwolf2425 Dec 17, 2016 @ 8:01pm
Cant wait!
Hoowuth Dec 17, 2016 @ 9:47am
Any estimated release date?
[ZM] | Dr. Dro Dec 16, 2016 @ 1:41pm
Nice work! Would it be possible to release Heaven and Valley on Steam as well? Preferably with an option to buy the Advanced and/or Professional editions through here? It'd be so handy!

Thank you for your kind words! :)

the Prince=of Darkness,
Minimal required Windows version - Windows 7.

We too

Sooon :)

Presets will be available, don't worry. However, single application with multiple benchmarks not.
the Prince=of Darkness Dec 15, 2016 @ 3:57pm
Been needing a new benchmark to test, only question i have is does it require Windows 10?
mickr Dec 15, 2016 @ 3:51pm
Looks awesome & would love to try it out 4 sure , good to see .
DadPlaysGames Dec 14, 2016 @ 3:52pm
Looking forward to testing this on my rig. Hopefully by the end of the year. Looks great fully rendered.
GadMiuM Dec 13, 2016 @ 4:42am
Waiting to test how this compares to Heaven!
Sine Dec 13, 2016 @ 4:22am
Another beautiful benchmark tool for an incredible engine. Excited to see what results my PC can pull. :)
gnasty Dec 12, 2016 @ 7:32pm
I want this on Steam NOW!
coth Dec 10, 2016 @ 3:02pm
Those benchmarks needs to be merged together into single benchmark app with single score with presets for 720p, 1080p and 2160p. So then it will be able to compete with 3DMark.
