Beautifully decorated. Very tasteful and cosy - not over crowded yet not empty.
The only problem I have is that little chest/ lock box thingy on the desk where the note is. It's not interactive. I would love to put my keys and jewels in there, as it seems to be perfect for housing such things!
Dear MarHeim, if you're reading this, please make the lock box interactive! ^^

Seriously? It's in Embershard Mine, one of the easiest and quickest dungeons in the game, and the mod creator basically points out exactly where the key is. You can't miss it.

At least this player home has some sort of story explanation for why it's empty rather than just being inexplicably up for the taking like many others.

love it fantastic

I do not know why, but the 1st time i went to the location, the cabin was not there. I restarted game, and loaded an auto-save from Markarth and fast traveled to Embershard mine, and the cabin was there and beautiful might I add.

Nice little cabin! Cozy & pleasant, well-situated in the surroundings too...

Backstory makes me feel even better about having cleared those bandits out of embershard first thing after escaping Helgen... =)
{EASY}Clintusmaximus Nov 5, 2016 @ 6:07pm
fought through the mine. no key
Khiimori Nov 3, 2016 @ 3:00pm
Great little cabin!! Love the story (the key to the house for me had somehow landed on the floor under the table, was hard to spot) made a perfect starter house for my new game when I needed a place to stash goods:) Very well done mod!

Love it:) very nice and cozy....good work:steamhappy:

I love this place and the backstory behind it. I wonder who the ranger was. Was he Imperial or Stormcloak? What were his ties to Riverwood? Did he know Germund the Hermit? (my other fave house mod) He even became the adopted father of an Imperial Orc character who returned home from their escape only to discover his sad fate. Faendal hangs around there a lot, and from there my headcanon went mental. Thank you for the mod and the really handy bow, it's a lot more lore friendly than the usual freebies modders bung into their work =^.^=

This place is a really cool starter home, very nice placement of the key as well. But I only have one thing to ask is why not make the anvil outside the house work?
DaisyInTheMiX Jan 26, 2016 @ 12:45pm
Love your mod but something happen to me, i cannot go inside anymore, i think this is a bug or at least a compatibility bug. tnx in advance. PS I stored a lot of things there LOL

I love this mod! Started a new character recently and the key is MIA. Never had a problem before with previous play throughs. How can I fix it?
Corve Sep 27, 2015 @ 12:15pm

I Love Cabins (They're So Cozy!) So Having One Right Next To One Of My Favorite Towns Is Very Helpful! The Only Problem I Have Is Sitting Down At The Table, Or Moving Around, And Objects Are Bumping And Rolling All Over. Is There A Way You Can Make Them Not Spin Out At The Slightest Touch, Or Remove A Few? Cheers!
skatzer192 Jun 21, 2015 @ 3:04pm
You nailed exactly what i think you wanted to do, my only thought is have you thought about adding a Cupboard? or barrel inside the house for the kitchen? For food storage, mainly meat.
FootlongBush69 Jun 12, 2015 @ 5:10pm

Wonderful cabin, I love it! :)
Nerdfury Mar 30, 2015 @ 1:39am
Hey, just wondering if the sacks and barrels just outside of the home are safe for storage?
Big Bear Mar 17, 2015 @ 12:37pm
Does this require Dragonborn?
AJack2 Feb 17, 2015 @ 7:21am
This is great, I think it adds THAT bit of back story which I honestly think Embershard mine needed instead of being a bit of background scenary, thanks for making this dude! 10/10

Мой самый любимый загородный дом. Уютный, и место хорошее.
Zoinho1 Nov 5, 2014 @ 4:13am
Nice, but you could put a road that connect into riverwood or in the main road that lead to riverwood? I tired of jumping over rocks to reach there.
Head Empty Nov 2, 2014 @ 9:18pm
Yay, it's not aa free house for every god ever conceived in the history of the universe, including alien ones like every other house!
rayna.664 Oct 23, 2014 @ 12:50pm
perfect and beautiful

Cat_Malkin Sep 20, 2014 @ 8:55pm
Oh - I had one minor issue - when I was inside my follower Arundel came inside then he got stuck inside. I'll ask him to wait outside next time I guess. But the way I got him back out was to go back inside, pick up so much stuff that I move slowly, and then he seems to get through the door at the same time as me. Thankss again
Cat_Malkin Sep 20, 2014 @ 8:53pm
Thanks for this mod, and a newbie, this is VERY useful. And feels very comfortable/homey, and is functional. I know you don't want to add an alchemy table....but I soooo wish you would. It goes so well with the hunter/ranger story/role play that fits with this cosy, functional house. thanks again
Nayo Sep 17, 2014 @ 7:41pm
love the mod, the look and simple layout. though I'm having an issue where the game starts to studder when i am inside
Apoc0774 Sep 13, 2014 @ 7:55am

cocoa Sep 4, 2014 @ 4:31pm
This is a really great mod. Just wondering if you could add an upgrade and maybe give it a childs room and archery range? That would be awesome if you could. Like, speaking to Jarl Balgruff and he will upgrade your home (Whiterun owns Riverwood).
duchessnukem Aug 31, 2014 @ 6:30pm
Great little player home. Atmosphere inside is fantastic.
Gamer1980Man Aug 26, 2014 @ 6:09pm
Nice little house not bad at all.
Leon Aug 26, 2014 @ 12:43pm
Great mod, I love how it morphes itself with the mine as in the exit for the mine being on the hunter's lodge's doorstep. I am glad that it is loyal to an idea of a hunter's lodge and especially the fact it hasn't included mannequins and forges.
sikorek555 Aug 2, 2014 @ 3:59am
Just good mod.
Aeternitas Jul 23, 2014 @ 9:11pm
Lovely cabin, I just had a quick look of it myself. I did notice a tiny error:

The 'Hastily Written Note' contains a grammatical error. Where it mentions that the people of Riverwood are nervous, there is the word 'is' rather than 'are', as it is refering to more than one person. Nothing big, and it is a 'hastily' written note after all.

The strongbox on the same table was not picking up for me, but that might just be my game; I've noticed that the odd coin or gem is non-interactive.

Otherwise, it is a great little home. It has a great hunter's atmosphere, beautiful lighting and details.

Amazing, could you add some mannequins, perfect other than that, yur amazing
paizuriprincess Jun 18, 2014 @ 11:50am
It's lovely. It is very simple and nice. As a lore friendly mod: very well done.
Grim Jun 8, 2014 @ 7:20pm
Very lovely and very simple; it's absolutely perfect for the character I'm playing as! In the future, would you be able to make it compatible for a family to move into? Aside from that picky detail, I love it. :)
LiteralRed Jun 6, 2014 @ 8:28pm
