Since the formlists that refer to planted items overwrite another mod that does that, I tried to make a patch that would allow both the nirnroots and the other mod's items to be planted without issue.
Oddly enough, using this patch doesn't effect the the list for some reason (I must be missing a formlist or something).
Trying to play my save without this ESP causes some weird graphical issue where the loading screen doesn't go away, but the game is loaded. I know this because I can still use the console to quit the game upon this bug happening.

This whole ordeal is frustrating.

This definitely still works. Just need to make sure it's subscribed and activated on your datafiles list before launching the game ^_^

This appears to not work anymore.... Any plans to repair it? Thanks!

I must have done something wrong. Quit game and restarted it and the mod works fine.
Gojira1953 Apr 11, 2016 @ 6:47pm

I have yet to be able to plant Nirnroot or Crimson Nirnroot with this mod. I'm not sure if it's still supported or not. Any updates on this?
elliott Nov 6, 2014 @ 3:43pm

sidwo Jul 1, 2014 @ 6:33pm

I was able to plant Nirnroot for a while, now steam is unable to load it's file with the rest of my mods. Don't know what happened.
Badgerblu Mar 8, 2014 @ 3:49am
Do you still support his mod? I am unable to plant them Nirn's, I have hearthfire and no conflicting mods so I don't know what seems to be the problem. I'm investigating whether the Stolen flag effect has anything to do with it, will report my findings.

I loved the mod, I was disappointed because I could not grow before Nirnroot
Bert Sep 29, 2013 @ 2:25pm
I couldn't get the lore-friendly version to work but this one works brilliantly. I think the kids are going to start complaining about the chiming preventing them from sleeping.
lakegardner Sep 14, 2013 @ 2:00pm
I have it. Thanks for the explanation

Planting is something you can do in the DLC Hearthfire. In Hearthfire you can build your own home that gets a garden where you can plant stuff and you can also choose to attach a greenhouse to your house, in which you can plant a whole lot more. The only thing this mod does is add the Nirnroot to the plants you can grow in said places. So if you want to grow plants in general you are going to have to get your hands on Hearthfire.

Thank you. I did read the description. I guess what I am asking is how to use the ability? Is it a power? How do I plant?
a_nikita Sep 11, 2013 @ 11:14pm
Very useful.
Rickyvantof  [author] Sep 10, 2013 @ 11:16pm
If you read the description you would know there is no quest or anyone to talk to; you just get the ability. Unless you are referring to my other Mod: The quest is called A Return to your Root, look it up on wiki or something.
lakegardner Sep 10, 2013 @ 11:34am
where do you get the ability? or who to talk to, to get the quest
TRB|ReapersGrim Sep 9, 2013 @ 12:28pm
Pretty Sweet
Ragnar Sep 8, 2013 @ 12:53pm

Rickyvantof  [author] Sep 8, 2013 @ 8:20am
Yes it does
NoV08 Sep 8, 2013 @ 7:57am
Does it require Hearthfire?
Sogomn Sep 8, 2013 @ 7:34am

Am I going to gain 3-4 pieces of nirnroot per Harvest? Because everything else you grow in your garden gives you 3-4 pieces every time you harvest them

sorry i spelled author wrong :P

Forgive me if i am wrong Failer, but i dont think that the chick who is growing Nirnroot in the game is that close to water... been a while since i been to say hi to her but i am pretty sure she isnt next to water... and you will find that not all of the Crimson Nirnroot in Blackreach is near a source of water. While Nirnroot certainly is found mostly next to beds of water, it is not always found there. So in a reality sense, it would be quite possible to grow Nirnroot, providing that you keep it well watered (if you actually had to do that in the game). If you really wanted to be a stickler for the whole "Nirnroot only grows near water" thing then maybe a mod that included special planters filled with water rather than dirt could be used purely for Nirnroot... Personally i think thats taking things too far, and the auther here has done a wonderful job of making it easier to access a well sort-after plant.
Sotergarm Sep 7, 2013 @ 1:29am
this destroys real nirnroot. this one is not real! nirnroot grows only next to water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LongLiveTheYams Sep 7, 2013 @ 12:04am
Do you have hearthfire?
Shacks Sep 6, 2013 @ 10:57pm
How do you plant them though? I didn't know you could grow anything yourself in this game.
Madalovin Sep 6, 2013 @ 3:15pm
fucking, finnaly... ya know this is the ONLY reason i never built an indoor gardens? :P
Lemmy Sep 6, 2013 @ 2:53am

Araanim Sep 5, 2013 @ 4:43pm
Ahh okay.
tat2teel Sep 5, 2013 @ 2:37pm
Thanks for the Mod, I've been looking for something like this :)
Ygglicious Sep 5, 2013 @ 12:02pm
i dont think you have to change the model, just move it down a bit, but okay
Rickyvantof  [author] Sep 5, 2013 @ 12:01pm
I agree, however I only added the Nirnroot to the list of plants that can be grown, I haven't changed the model and I'm not planning to.
Ygglicious Sep 5, 2013 @ 11:50am
good mod, i think the roots are a a bit to high above the ground though :P
