The best turn-based card/board game I have ever played period! An almost endless amount of strategy to be employed and gets you addicted to come back for more! I just can't stop playing!

Can get it free on android play store, an to be honest judging from my time with that, i wouldnt bother buying it. too much pay to win involved. 1st mission are easy then u seuddenly see the balance change. no way to progress without real money. maube the steam version will have OPTIONAL in app purchasing, as apposed to the mobile versions u dont pay, u lose lol

I enjoy the different monsters and their uniqueness. I'd love more customizations in the future. Gonna spam share all my friends.

Great game I like the mix of CCG with tbs.
kooow Mar 29, 2014 @ 4:37am
I don't understand why use 80's music in trailer (Let me guess the developers are 30+ :-)
I hope you don't want free to play business model. ( And I also read the gamasutra article.)
And the battleground seems very chaotic (maybe to many colors or to many icons I can't express why).

Шикарная игрушка, играл её на телефоне, был-бы рад увидеть в магазине Steam.

I can't believe that I did not play this until about a week ago, it is great. I've got it for iOS and can't wait for the Mac client.

Cool beans. We're busy ramping up the quality of the GFX for higher-end PC's now too. And other formats that can use it...

Great Android Game. Turn Based, Card Strategy, Animations of Combat are Great. Good Humour Too!
reepicheep Nov 12, 2013 @ 5:48am
Been playing the PC version since beta, and I've really enjoyed it. I've spent money on the game because the developers earned it.

Combat Monsters has now officially launched so you can check it out for yourselves for free.
ChairmanMeow Oct 19, 2013 @ 2:59pm
Fun game, pretty balanced now, which is great. The dances during a win is rather annoying unfortunately, thought thats just a minor annoyance..

The game has recently been re-balanced so all heroes cost the same. The starter heroes (the ones you get for free) are now on-par with all the others.

The pay model is much like Planetside; you can compete with the equipment (cards) you get for free, but just like in Planetside, you give yourself more options and variation by purchasing the extras.

And if you're not into that, you can buy the super cheap coin trippler and only buy boosters through coins you earn in-game, which are really easy to get with the trippler.

It's easy to label this game as pay-to-win, but I think anyone who actually tries it will see it's more like pay-to-have-more-fun.

I am not saying this game is pay to win, i am just clarifying some points
Cambleir Sep 23, 2013 @ 7:49am
Guys, what the hell, stop saying "blablabla is pay to win", they need to get some cash to always improve their game, no one can survive in Game Industry without cash, if u didnt notice, we are using a platform that 90% of the games are paid
Rubicon  [author] Sep 21, 2013 @ 7:35am
There's a late Beta available from right now. Why not judge for yourself?
Anrita Sep 20, 2013 @ 10:15pm
I watched the video and started to get excited, until I started reading the comments. When there's a material advantage to pumping more money into the game, it's pay to win, regardless of what phrase you use. Also, many long-time CCG players (like myself) are completely burned out on the booster pack business model. Google "living card game" for more on that.
+ 5 Sep 19, 2013 @ 6:43pm
looks fantastic!
Rubicon  [author] Sep 18, 2013 @ 8:53am
It's not pay to win, but that doesn't mean you'll get the best out of the game by paying nothing.

The phrase we're using is "pay what you want".

If you do the math, you can get a bunch of heroes and most of the cards for a reasonably small outlay instantly or just plenty of play time and the reward tripler for only 3 bucks. Our forum is full of people having success with both methods.

If you're determined to not pay anything at all, then unlike other "free" games, Monsters has no paywalls, timers, consumeable "fertiliser" etc., you can just keep on playing at a lower level, completely free, forever.
Nekol Sep 17, 2013 @ 1:05pm
if they do that then this is gonna be a shit game...
Arhiwolf Sep 6, 2013 @ 6:04am
Hey i'm trying open beta , and are you devs going for pay to win? Because , as I look at the shop ,the most expensive heroes are clearly overpowered and way way superior to starting champs and a lot of other ones . Like Dean Silvanus and Clank . They are to strong .
FLISEN Sep 4, 2013 @ 10:45am
Looks good! :)
Rubicon  [author] Aug 29, 2013 @ 6:41am
It will be technically possible, but not something I'd recommend. But you don't need a load of every card to have fun, esp in multiplayer.
Aquillion Aug 28, 2013 @ 9:07pm
Will it be possible to get every card through play, or will some have to be paid for?
Blind_Guardian Aug 28, 2013 @ 6:25am
I want it !

First I've heard of this hillhome. It probably would've but I'll look into it now!
Hillhome Aug 23, 2013 @ 11:16am
Does it run on a monitor using 60Hz? I'm still annoyed war game is stuck on 59hz and I have to change my monitor settings every time I want to play it.
Catscratch Aug 22, 2013 @ 6:26pm
Alrighty cool ^_^
Rubicon  [author] Aug 22, 2013 @ 1:57pm
It's planned catscratch. The mac version is already kinda working but we're focussing on PC beta atm to get the kinks out of the gameplay first.
Catscratch Aug 22, 2013 @ 11:54am
Add some Mac/Linux support and I'd upvote.
