I just lost a horse because I fast traveled to some place without sitting on my horse... And it just RAN for it to attack a pack of wolves!!! I faught an ice wraith before I could come to my horse's rescue... and it died from friggin' wolf-bites!!!!!!!!!!!!! STUPID HORSE! And I get emotionally attached to my companions, being it animals or men/mer... *sigh* So I looked for a mod like yours! Thank you! :D
LilyNeurotic Jul 15 @ 4:28pm
Perfect. There's really just no way to have a horse once you start getting into dragon encounters if you don't get a mod like this. Works exactly as intended, no problems.
Hobbs/Lancelot Jul 8 @ 5:01pm
THANK YOU! I never use horses purely because they're a fricken pain in the ass. Attacking things, or running off, getting in the way. JUST STAY STILL AND SHUT UP.
Shadoweaver Dec 31, 2013 @ 5:02pm
Very nice mod, thanks! I use a couple other horse mods, and needed to put this one last in the load order to get it to work: Gryphian's Pack Horses, Faster Horses, Oblivious Horses.
Dr. Strangelove Dec 29, 2013 @ 10:04pm
finally, I get sick of wasting 1000 gold on horses and watching them get killed by bandits.
Alenvious Aug 31, 2013 @ 2:34pm

Thank you so much! I hate it when my horse is like "Ima go suicide by running head on to this huge freaking dragon."
Also, I have Heathfire and it still works okay.
Mystyr Nile Jul 21, 2013 @ 7:21am
6:49 for oblivious horses
Brigor Jun 20, 2013 @ 1:05am
I dont know why, but this mod has the effekt, that in the not english versions of Skyrim the name for Forsworn is changed to the english one.
I hope you can fix it, because it shout not be needed vor a mod that changes horses.
Sinedra Feb 24, 2013 @ 9:31pm
Thank you so much for this mod! I used to get so frustrated when my horse would start fighting a dragon and then die, now I don't even have to worry about it anymore. Also keeps me from accidently killing my horse.
Lord Higgins Feb 6, 2013 @ 9:15am
Awww damn it guess Ill hold off till its fixed too
Sabre A Oct 8, 2012 @ 8:49am
It's not compatible with "Horse Armors" it seems. I've disabled this mod but not deleted, I really like the mod but not enough to get rid of horse armor, please fix
Brit Vahdin d'Ilinalta Oct 7, 2012 @ 2:08pm
I don't ride horses, but I use this mod to keep any nearby horses from joining the fray; in other words, it keeps horses out of my way during a fight. A very nice game tweak.
GhostBlade Sep 15, 2012 @ 4:02pm
I'll never have to worry about my horse kill-stealing dragons from me ever again! Great mod, thank you.
frendaandbred Sep 5, 2012 @ 2:10pm
This is great do use it and enjoy your hard work Thanks!!!
adrianash Aug 25, 2012 @ 1:24pm
Great work, it was a real pain trying to find my horese every time I had to dismount to kill something.
Mecho Aug 13, 2012 @ 11:12pm
I am glad stupid fricking things wont waste my 1000 gold ever again.
Voodu  [author] Aug 8, 2012 @ 7:43pm
@Killer - This version does not, but check my collection for other versions that do.

@Joseph - Thanks for the thumbs up! Rated and favorited your collection as well.

does this work with te dawnguard horse
Wendersnaven Jul 22, 2012 @ 2:07pm
I'm having the same problem. When I load the horse armor last the armor comes back on all horses but my own- got a new horse to fix this; but then the horse AI no longer works and he's back to running up ramparts and into the middle of bandits and dragon fights. Does this mod also make it so your horse doesn't tire while running? That's switching on and off for me also.
GoodGuyGabe Jul 17, 2012 @ 11:24am
Is this compatible with the mod "Horse Armors"? When I loaded up Oblivious Horses it got rid of all the armor on my horses.
sobervash Jul 16, 2012 @ 9:22am
Yeah I like this one, without the stats change
BlackParagon Jun 29, 2012 @ 10:13am
Thank you, that's really great. Try it yourself once, buy a pony from a vendor and ride into a fight, then use the console to spawn one of the player horses and see the difference. It's a mystery to me ^^
Voodu  [author] Jun 29, 2012 @ 9:04am
My only guess would be something in the AI packages but I'm not sure why it would be different when you use the console command to spawn them. I'll put some thought into it as well and see if I can find a more valid reason/solution.
BlackParagon Jun 29, 2012 @ 5:07am
Thank you very much! But I think it might take a while to get it to work...
still not able to determine why reference based vanilla ponys dont work as intended while player-spawned do (player.placeatme).
Voodu  [author] Jun 29, 2012 @ 4:03am
@kasindus - Feel free to use whatever you need/want from this mod for your re-upload of Armored Horses. I'm happy to contribute to the community any way I can. Please let me know when you finish the project. I would be interested in seeing it :)
BlackParagon Jun 29, 2012 @ 3:02am
So, I figured this out so far: in theory, a merge of Armored Horses and Oblivious horses is possible, but for whatever reason it will (not fully tested, but mostly) only work on Shadowmere...
There seems to be a problem with the normal horses beeing indefinetly spawnable references. I mean, they cant die and they run like hell if you enter combat, but thats just crap, better would be if they would just stand there and wait, like sm.
If I use the base ID of the armored horses however, they work EXACTLY like sm, don't know why.
Investigating this further....
BlackParagon Jun 29, 2012 @ 1:47am
Sorry, I found the error! I deleted my comments. I'll post if I get a fix working here, at least now I know what problem it is exactly ^^
BTW: may I use your mod in a re-upload of Armored Horses? If I get this running, I think many people would be happy about it, as Armored Horses is open now.
zyl0x Jun 16, 2012 @ 8:42pm
@XRuinX: dismount your horse and open the console. Type 'help FriendlyToAll'. This will list the faction ID you need. Select your horse by clicking on it, and type 'AddToFaction <id from first step> 1'
Voodu  [author] Jun 15, 2012 @ 1:32pm
No. As long as it's checked as active in the mod list it should work fine. I haven't checked it since the recent CK update but this is the only report I've gotten like this since.
theAlienWarlord Jun 15, 2012 @ 12:13pm
Why is it not working? I put it at the top of the load order. Didn't work. Bottom. Didn't work. Middle. Didn't work. Is there something else I'm supposed to do that you didn't put in the discription?
XRuinX Jun 9, 2012 @ 7:36pm
@The Ancient: how do we go about changing it?
zyl0x Jun 8, 2012 @ 1:27pm
I found a workaround for the Armored Horses mod - this mod adds a faction called "FriendlyToAllFaction". Add your armored horse to this faction and it will no longer assist you or be targeted by others during combat.
RTSLightning Jun 8, 2012 @ 12:03pm
Does this mod apply to all horses, or just player owned horses? I think it's freaking retarded to ambush a caravan only to have not only guards attacking you but their horses too.
zyl0x Jun 6, 2012 @ 8:45pm
Hey I'd like to add a request to have this mod work with the armored horses mod. I either get vanilla horses that ignore everything, or armored horses that run into fights constantly.
XRuinX Jun 4, 2012 @ 2:14pm
i think involnerable or armored horses mod conflicts with this. Frost never backs away from aa fight. I mean its cool and all that he wont die, but its a pain when he gets in my way everytime.
Anguis Furor May 31, 2012 @ 6:08am
However, if you get attacked WHILE RIDING, your horse will still fighr, beware!
SubmergedLemon May 19, 2012 @ 11:27am
@BLACKBEARD - Thank you for letting us know :) I was all concerned it would have to be setup in a different order or not work at all.
Voodu  [author] May 16, 2012 @ 8:31am
What other mods are you using? Conflicts are common because this mod effects a lot of different things to apply it's effects. Adjusting your load order or starting with a clean save can fix a lot of the problems that tend to arise.
Harrison May 16, 2012 @ 6:11am
I can't get this mod to fully work for me. Nearly anytime I go anywhere with Frost, he doesn't attack anything, inconsistantly runs safely away from a fight if there is one, and creatures will still freely attack him. I'm just glad that he hasn't been killed yet by something because the mod isn't working.
Tracifer May 13, 2012 @ 12:38pm
@Raj Kah'lira - Ok, thats fine, just wondering. Id rather use your mod anyway, since id rather not lose horses than have pretty armored horses that dont do anything but look pretty. Weighting the two choices, gameplay tweaks over cosmetic tweaks. So you get my subscription.
LIBERTY PRIME May 13, 2012 @ 8:37am
This is compatible with "faster vanilla horses" mod if anyone was wondering.
myst May 13, 2012 @ 6:21am
I like this mod. Before I subscribed, I lost several horses. Thanks for making it.
Voodu  [author] May 13, 2012 @ 4:01am
@Tracifer - No. Sorry it dosen't.
Tracifer May 12, 2012 @ 11:30pm
Does this mod, and "oblivious shadowmere" work with the "Armored Horses" mod?
LIBERTY PRIME Apr 21, 2012 @ 7:26pm
EXELENT MOD. Before I subscribed my horse had gotten killed twice, and jumped off a cliff running away from a bandit. No accidents scince subscribing. A way to use wepons on a horse would be awsome.
Bitzer R.O.D Apr 21, 2012 @ 6:31am
:D i just hate when i have to get off horse back to kill a stupid creature could be awesome just to come running on the horse and then Bam headshot im just passin through. (if you know what i mean XD) But it would be so freaking awesome if you made it ;) Plz send me an mail or something if i dont reply :) (Bitzer2010@live.dk)

Ahh the elusive "Mount and Blade Skyrim". Top-notch idea indeed. I'd love to be the one to do it but I'm not sure I'd know where to begin to be honest. Something to look into for sure though. Thanks for the suggestion!
