This game is a great clone of Mario Kart.
RocketLauncherBoy Jan 20, 2015 @ 11:37am
The only thing you need to focus on is gameplay. If the driving feels good, and the racing is satisfying then you will accomplish your goal. Just know that Datona USA is one of the greatest racing games ever made, and that game had 1 car and 3 tracks. So just make sure you find the design balance of easy to play but hard to master.

If you can have a driving mechanic that is unique you'll stick out. Racing is my favorite genre and after seeing the Drift Stage greenlight, I know its possible for a small team to create a game higher quality then triple A. There's truth to the term quality over quantity.

The concept is good. I've been looking for a fast and easy kart game to play for my daughter. All of the racing games here are too complicated. I voted yes in the hopes you include a single player version. I wouldn't want my little girl chatting online or playing online with strangers. looking forward to seeing it in action one day.

looks cute but doesnt look like it belongs on steam
carcrazy202 Jul 31, 2014 @ 12:17pm
It looks like a very cute game, but first, thest games are made on their controls, their courses, and the way they let yo interact with other players. I saw an impressive setting/world design, but I didn't see any of the other three components. Furthermore, I like the cell shaded fantasy style, but the graphics are just to out of date. I think it's great to make a game that feels like a child of the N64 era, but it shouldn't be mistaken for an actual N64 game.

This looks great c:

I think I would maybe buy this game. If it does ever come. I mean I think this is close enough to a PC Mario Kart 64.
LinuxLuver98 Apr 24, 2014 @ 5:40am

Voting no because there's no content to vote on. You can't put a game on Greenlight with insignificant content. No footage of gameplay, a few work-in-progress screen shots with no other players and what looks to be the same map (unless every level looks like that, I hope not), and then mostly concept art. The description is very lacking, just obscurely talking about the game. It needs to go into detail about the power ups and more about the actual gameplay.

You need to show more progress though.

Hmm... I'm a bit skeptic about this game. I know you guys are trying to take the best of other games from its genre and try to add to it, but I haven't really seen anything that strikes me as, "Oh, this game looks pretty cool. Maybe I should get it after I've saved up a bit."
In other words, a kart racing game like this doesn't seem to me as though it would really contribute much, if anything to the gaming community. I'm not trying to dissuade you from releasing, and I've no doubt you'll make a relatively good profit from the game. I'm just saying this is one of those games that's good, it's just not really of any use in terms of paving the way for new, innovative games, or other outputs of human imagination.
Jotie Sep 23, 2013 @ 6:41am
I know I am asking quite a bit, but I am quite curious and I have figured about asking these things to see what kind of things other than racing and power-ups there will be. So far, it seems quite simplistic, but knowing it has multi-player seems very tempting right now.
(Final Post)
Jotie Sep 23, 2013 @ 6:41am
I alos would be curious of what kind of multi-player aspects other than race others! Will there be something like battle royale stuff? Or even possibly co-op types of racing? (Like some sort of interesting 2v2 racing and stuff like that) when both can race on the same team to add points together when they cross the finish lines? I haven't seen that many racing games do that quite yet. Not like Double Dash. I'm talking about something like one person in one Kart and another in a different one? (Continued part 2)
Jotie Sep 23, 2013 @ 6:40am
I really do like the idea of multi-player for it. I would like a lot more information of it though before I really can consider purchasing it. I am also quite curious if it also will include Lan play, or possibly up-to-four players Local like they usually do if I have a friend come over? I am also quite curious if it will be controller compatible, which I would highly think would work quite well!~

they tell you anything about the game?

Wow I've been waiting for a sequel to Rascal Racers :D
A Loot Box Råped Me Aug 22, 2013 @ 1:02am
How many players? How many karts on the track during multplayer races? Can championship mode be played with two or more players? Are the racing mechanics refined, like Diddy Kong Racing, or casual like MK Wii?
Mondo Aug 15, 2013 @ 1:12pm
Considering how underwhelmingly simple this is, I'd think a good call would be to instead try the Android store, as in terms of a PC game it lacks substance beyond what free indie games offer.
ORCSandDRAGONS Aug 15, 2013 @ 2:40am
Really interested! Really cool concept!
MadMadChucky Aug 15, 2013 @ 1:04am
Beautiful and colorful game! I immediately remembered the the 90's and Crash Team Racing! I would buy this nice little game for your little nephew! Good luck with that project!

So far - I LOVE it. If this game will have power-ups and splitscreen mode I'm sure I will buy this. I like the graphics too. I hope this will have green light, I can't wait to play it with my buddies! ♥

I think i remember seeing graphics like this on my N64 ! Oh wait i still have it with mario kart 64 and it looks ten times better NOW...You definitely need a lot more work, its a no.
morakdais Aug 7, 2013 @ 8:36am
just no.
rughe.cotone Aug 4, 2013 @ 11:35am
I'm glad I watched a little bit more of the video before I downvoted... it's like a completely hand-drawn game. Nothing I would play, but upvoted for the work that went into it....

How is does this product that you want people to pay for differ from the aesthetically similar, and free, already existing game Super Tux Cart?
tannim Jul 25, 2013 @ 5:05pm
I like the furry aspect of this game. You'll have to add a lot to make it interesting if you want people to buy it though. Keep on it, I'll hold my vote for now.
BillyTheCat128 Jul 24, 2013 @ 8:21am
It looks like an interesting concept, only critiques I have:
- No real sense of speed/tension, the car just... drives, nothing is really done to give me that 'oomph' any other Kart Racer does.
- What is the goal, appeal or unique selling-point of this game other than taking 1st place, what does this game do to set itself appart from other Kart games?
- The concept art looks good, but I have to agree with everyone else: the in-game models look pretty simple, nothing wrong with that except that they are 'too simple' and blocky, stripping them of their likeability as well as personality.
- I don't see any other tracks than forest tracks, treestumps, cottages and bridges... variety is the key and I'm hoping that there will be other nicely themed tracks in the future. (Take Diddy Kong Racing for example) I know it is an early 'proof-of-concept' pre-alpha so I understand that nothing much has been finished yet.
Jesseo Jul 24, 2013 @ 2:09am
When I saw the thumbnail it looked great, I think the game needs a little more work... Okay, a lot more work! I hope you finish making the game, just... Better than this. :)
Good luck! :D
Honne Jul 23, 2013 @ 10:13pm
mariokart with a fox? Going to assume this is a work progress.
Piccolo (AKA Yoshi) Jul 23, 2013 @ 12:35pm
I like the idea, but the game looks to be a work in progress. I won't yes or no vote it, but I will come back in the future to see the progress made. I hope you the best of luck.

Yes YES YES! This could be the new Zero Gear. Please keep working on this! :coolsam:

Reminds me of Skunny Kart and I didn't like that either.
Celebrimnar Jul 22, 2013 @ 2:05am
I like this kind of games, but this one looks quite bad, unpolished and amateur
Slyther Jul 20, 2013 @ 11:24pm
the kart game
Resolute Jul 20, 2013 @ 11:21pm
So whats the reason to buy this game rather than the existing kart games. What does this game do better or different?
