Indeed simplistic. There's something funky going on with the music (shouldn't there be only one or two outputs firing to the ambient_generic?).

I only had to glance at the test chamber to solve the puzzle. But other than that, it was pretty good.

Nice chamber, I enjoyed playing it very much. Small yet effective in getting the player to think about what to do next. Thumbs up.

The only annoying part about this test was the turrets. Just compare it to the Valve maps. Here it is totally not needed and subtracts from the test.

I solved this the correct way.

The key is to have a portal on each side of the fizzler, so the fizzler never destroys your portals. There is a gap between the fizzler and the ceiling. You can use the funnel to gain enough height to be above the fizzler. I got the cube by the door, I lifted myself up with the funnel, and then for the last part of the puzzle you want yourself by the door and both portals on the other side of the room
