i love the sheath,and the all around realism. i like fantasy swords to a degree but at least they could make them look functional.

I love this sword, it looks great in game and the scale makes it look realistic as the weapon of choice for a lady warrior specialising in two-handed weapons.

A little op at low levels, but it's a beautiful sword, very well made.

It has a little more damage than a standard ebony greatsword, not a steel greatsword.

@(Poe) Deviru Sama: Actually, he can and did. The updated version on the Skyrim Nexus includes a 1H version. Also, as Cornock pointed out, Bastard Swords are also known as the hand and a half sword and CAN be used in one hand. You have to be strong, yes, but not insane body builder or giant strong. Again, it's called a BASTARD sword because it can be used one handed or two handed/is between a one handed long sword and a two handed greatsword in length. Maybe know what you're talking about before speaking, 'eh?

Actually, if I remember correctly, a Bastard sword is a hand and a half sword made so you can use it with one hand or two depending on the situation. This sword is small enough that you could use it with one hand if you were fit enough and were inclined to.

@FlexxMOB @The Lunar: No, he can't. Because the entire point of a Bastard Sword is to be a heavy two handed weapon. You are not going to be holding what is essentially a great sword in one hand without dislocating a shoulder. Unless you're a massive body builder/giant. But since you can't do either in vanilla Skyrim... Sorry, No.

This is an amazing mod. I use it for my barbarian/hunter character. I love the shorter length. Doesn't look as LARPy as the vanilla swords.

Nice looking model. On par with a DragonBone Greatsword in Damage output. Blood textures seem not to work on it though. Enchanting textures mesh well though.

Hey Insanity, i was wondering if you could do a retexture. Im a huge fan of final fantasy, and i love the design of the iconic swords from the game. Of all the swords, the most iconic one i can think of, (Other then the buster sword) is the brotherhood sword. I was hoping to find on on steam, but no luck, so im asking you if you could make one. I would love a stand alone, but a retexture is fine. Also, to anyone who reads this the offer is open, as is any iconic ff weapon.

This longsword is perfect. It provides the punch I want from a two-handed weapon without the excessive bulk or frustrating pace of a greatsword.

If you want a fast two-handed weapon with a simple yet attractive style to it against the overstyled, oversized nature of your current gear then you've come to the right mod.

This does have the look of a hand-and-a-half sword but the author said in one of the bottom pages of the comments that they don't want to make a one-handed version of this weapon. To those who really want to wield a longsword in one hand there are other mods available to suit your needs, such as the Regent Armory or the top-rated LOTR weapon pack.

I got bored the other day and tried to find a mod that included the weapon Ashkandi, Greatsword of the Brotherhood from World of Warcraft, one of the most AWESOME looking weapons in any game I've played. One and a half hand sword. (Two or one handed). Great mod! You should add a 1H version for characters that like sheilds AND epic swords.

@paratrooper.......I've seen two that are inlcuded in mod packs but the suck. I agree, we've seen Strider's Anduril sword but never a good mod for his ranger sword, that would be great. Can the bastard sword have a one handed version included as it is a nice mod and those swords could be used one handed as well as two handed

You are one of my Favorit Modders. Any chance of you doing a cool looking Strider's Sword Mod for LOTR it is the only sword I cannot find and I think you would make it look super sweet.

sword looks really good - & the scabbard is nice aswell - just that bastard swords are seen as the largest of all one handed blades, not two handed
