Unless you've got some other voice packs installed as well, you'll have to move the back up files back into their folders and run the "snd_rebuildaudiocache" command in L4D2 once more to get the original voice back

At what part of the tutorial did you get stuck at?
Also, if you search the workshop for "Purpleheart" (not "Purple Heart"), you'll find both versions which will replace Ellis and Rochelle

... or you forgot to remove the files inside the left4dead2_dlc1\sound\player\survivor\voice\mechanic folder
Remember to always run the snd_rebuildaudiocache command after you've messed around with the voice files!

The voice packs that can be installed by clicking on the subscribe button usually have problems because the audio files are longer or shorter than the original files. (Like buzzing or screeching noises)
By installing it manually, nothing like that happens.
