I love this and the Dwemer Jar mod, They're my absolute most favorite house mods, for they're easily able to be accessed, and the fact that you can enter them anywhere.
skizerz Jan 1 @ 1:26am
ohhhh nice tip ill use it next time i get
reked bai the guards :P
Vampire Woona Nov 11, 2014 @ 3:13pm
Dunno if anyone has mentioned to you before, Kurt, but just letting you know that doe to the way your scripts automatically replace the inkwell into your inventory every time it is removed, this can lead to potential smuggling exploits when entering a scripted area where youre not allowed to have items of your choosing... Someone might purposefully store cheaty items inside the inkwell before entering said scripted area, (eg: being sent to jail), and since the inkwell cannot be removed by any means other than activating it, it will still be in the player's inventory and thus by extention anything held within it. just so you know.
MegaKurt  [author] Jul 21, 2014 @ 10:00am
@TC I understand your problem. Both of my mods were geared toward a vanilla game. Auto-sorters are challenging to begin with and when other mods add ingredients and change crafting it becomes almost impossible. I don't have Skyrim installed since I had to make room for a couple other games. Let me see what I can do.
Toilet Clauger Jul 20, 2014 @ 11:20pm
I love the mod as well as Dwemer Jar, could a non-item sorted version be created/removed from origial. Item sorter doesn't like other crafting mods.
Bear Jun 9, 2014 @ 4:47pm
Beautiful Mod! Extreamly useful!
Yael Jan 12, 2014 @ 3:03pm
Hey MegaKurt could you perhaps share your script that you used to teleport the player to the inkwell and back to the same location they were before?
Blixem Dec 19, 2013 @ 3:34am
Prefer this mod to the Dwemmer Jar, mainly because of the ease of navigation around the Inkwell.

Could you please add Chaurus Chitin, Charcoal and Linen Wraps to the list of items for automatic storage and use, as well as the alchemy and smithing for the Dragonborn DLC if possible.

Many Thanks.

Absolutely brilliant! Give me convenience or give me death!
MegaKurt  [author] Sep 2, 2013 @ 11:05pm
When you subscribe to and activate the Inkwell mod you should find an Inkwell in your inventory as a potion when you load your game.
kimandkim Sep 1, 2013 @ 2:22pm
may i ask where can i get the inkwell?
Soraking007 Aug 21, 2013 @ 9:18am
haven bag vs the inkwell house this wins as the haven bag give you access to items that make your game easy, you can get an elven dagger in it so theres no need to buy one or weild anthing else.
lrh_sd Aug 21, 2013 @ 7:46am
This is a gread mod. It's become one of my favorite player homes, great work.

weres the light switch???
Blixem Jul 24, 2013 @ 4:46am
Great mod, who needs to buy a house when you can carry it with you, don't even need a follower to carry all your loot, just store it for retreival ans sale at the merchants. :)
DigTooDeep Jul 12, 2013 @ 8:43pm
Ok thanks, i didn't know that.
MegaKurt  [author] Jul 12, 2013 @ 8:15am
The "Don't Panic" button moves all items from all storage containers to your inventory in case you need to move out or disable/upgrade the mod.
DigTooDeep Jul 11, 2013 @ 9:35pm
This is probably my favorite mod, but what does the "don't panic" button next to the anvil do?

Thx, perfect ^^
MegaKurt  [author] Jul 7, 2013 @ 12:03am
@MrGrorn Look for my other mod Dwemer Jar. It's larger than the Inkwell Home with all features minus the backstory and flora.
[OsoB] MrGrorn Jul 6, 2013 @ 8:28am
oh now i read: a little bigger version i meant ^^ sry 4 this mistake

also a quest to get the inkwell would be great. Like old dwemer mechanics to build it on your own maybe. But the Story you have written is also so great.

Best mod in Workshop!
[OsoB] MrGrorn Jul 3, 2013 @ 12:30pm
Its such a great Idea!! A little smaller version would be great, like a greater ink potion ^^
But rly rly good work guy!
Scruff Jul 3, 2013 @ 6:59am
To anyone considering Subbing this mod... do it.
It's very well made, with a fantastic concept and even a little hidden backstory inside. Give it a shot, I highly doubt you'll regret it.
To the Author, MegaKurt, bravo, keep up the good work, and thank you.
Dbuzzyb Jul 1, 2013 @ 5:05pm
this hss to be one of the cutest house mods arouund.
MegaKurt  [author] Jun 25, 2013 @ 10:56pm
Just released a new dual-level dwelling called the Dwemer Jar. Bsically it has the same features as the Inkwell Home but with a "stronger" Dwemer theme.
Void Jun 23, 2013 @ 3:54pm
i love it! its so convinient, got to be one of the best mods to have!
voltcheck Jun 17, 2013 @ 11:12am

Godking1255 Jun 11, 2013 @ 5:17pm
Haha nice story man. Well, I will be looking out for it man.
MegaKurt  [author] Jun 11, 2013 @ 3:50pm
The Inkwell Home won't be a multi-floor dwelling. I've tried tinkering with the scale and it doesn't really work. The ceilings are just to curved and I don't have the software to create my own nif files. I will look at creating a second portable home. Perhaps the Dwemer who came up with the original formula had a vew experiments that survived.
Godking1255 Jun 11, 2013 @ 11:23am
Alright, that does make sense. If this were to be two-floored I'd probably use it.
MegaKurt  [author] Jun 11, 2013 @ 10:10am
I appreciate the input and agree the layout is a little chaotic. Probably because I'm not an interior decorator and I was still learning how to lay things out. But it also fits the backstory better this way. This as a "dorm cave" filled with whatever furniture and items that could be found. You normally don't find matching bedroom and furniture sets like that. Now that I have a little more experience I might attempt a multi-floor update.
Godking1255 Jun 10, 2013 @ 10:28pm
As much as I think this is just completely wonderful, I do have to agree with @Skippy, this looks like a cluttered mess. If you want my opinion, I'd say stick to one theme. You have items from all different themes in there. Maybe use a Breezehome or Proudspire look? Also, to help with the clutter, maybe make it two floors? A basic bedroom with several storage items on top and a less cluttered crafting area on bottom being connected by rounded stairs. This is just how I would of done it. I'm not telling you how you should do your stuff or telling what to do. Just giving a little-ish user input.
katanagirl Jun 6, 2013 @ 8:54am
This is exactly the kind of mod I've been looking for. I won't be downloading it, though, because the place looks really cluttered and just awful.
Dbuzzyb Jun 4, 2013 @ 8:50pm
This is absolutely amazing - I really love the background story, you have produced an explanation for a mystery as well as the fantastic home. Thank you so much
zombieuserland May 28, 2013 @ 1:43pm
Just want to give you mad, mad props for this mod. Please don't ever go away or I'm hosed. Thank you!
MegaKurt  [author] May 19, 2013 @ 8:02pm
Okay, I am getting a number of comments about how dark it is. Please check the bedside for a lightswitch that has been available since the mod was first released. I will be updating the description with this hint.
MegaKurt  [author] May 19, 2013 @ 8:01pm
The Alchemy Supplies container on the wall is unlinked per design. I thought it would be a good place to put potions or equipment that help with alchemy.
BurntPanda May 18, 2013 @ 7:56pm
By "dark" I mean that there is no light except for the tiny one above the inkwell home.
BurntPanda May 18, 2013 @ 7:55pm
There is an Ingredient's container, which is the automatic one that is linked with the alchemy station, and then there is an alchemy container, which isn't linked with anything, is that supposed to be like that? Also, others may disagree, but with it being dark, it makes it somewhat annoying to be in.
MegaKurt  [author] May 13, 2013 @ 11:45pm
I've released a new version of the Inkwell Home that should fix the crafting storage issues. But, you will have to reset the location to fix the existing scripts. Skyrim saved all script information in your save file. Even if I change things in the mod, the game remembers all the problems of the old version unless the reset is performed. This is a four-step process and fairly simple.

1. Make sure you are in an external location where you can wait safely for a day or two game-time. Make a hard save (not a quick save). This is to roll back if something bad happens.
2. Enter the Inkwel Home and grab EVERYTHING. Leave nothing behind you don't want to lose. Exit the Inkwell Home. Make another hard save.
3. Leave the game and uninstall or disable the Inkwell Home. Enter the game and wait or sleep for a day or two game-time. Make a third hard save.
4. Exit the game and reinstall / re-enable the Inkwell Home. Start the game and enter the Inkwell Home. It should be reset.
Fexel May 13, 2013 @ 9:26am
Really like the Idea. I love magic-homes. Well made but for me, it would be better, if the inside walls from this house would be more clean without so much "stone" structure. and maybe some ink-spots on it ;)
Yael May 12, 2013 @ 9:15am
k sweet! thank you!

Keep up the great work!
MegaKurt  [author] May 12, 2013 @ 9:11am
I think I understand what's happening and I plan to have a fix out in a day or so.
Yael May 11, 2013 @ 10:23pm
I'm having the same issue with the smithing supplies. Great mod just wish I could get the supplies back.

It would be nice if each crafting station pulled items from a similar chest (like instead of smithing comming from a smithing chest and work bench from a work bench chest they just came from the same chest) (like work bench, anvil, grindstone, leather rack all in one chest)

Just a thought, THIS MOD WORKS GREAT, other than the current ingredient pulling thing.

Keep up the great work!
joshuathegreat87 May 11, 2013 @ 2:27pm
My God, I ended my game yesterday in the inkwell home, and today I open it and it's DIFFERENT! XD I nearly fell out of my chair, I had started placing things 'strategically' around the place to add some decor, like a troll skull on the work table and a bowl between the enchanter and alchemy table to hold potion recipe cards. . . and a dwemer pot. . . just because. . . and NOW there are plants and stuff! XD The first time I saw the mod, that was the only thing I thought it needed, HARD TO FIND PLANT STUFFS! XD This mod just went up exponentially in my favor.
