Great inkwell home. But I don't understand what the other switches are for ?
A switch on the anvil ? A 'don't panic' switch ? Is that just an Hitchhiker's Guide reference ?
It doesn't seem to do anything when I click it....

OK, I've had FOUR known safe storage containers go EMPTY after using the inkwell home. Two chests filled with clothes and scrolls, a safe Urn filled with foods, and a safe Urn filled with Misc clutter and junk. I checked to see if I moved anything and forgot it. Nope - everything is there in an older Save file, before the inkwell use. Some unknown incompatability maybe with dozens of other installed mods, no doubt. [Storage Located in Wooden Mask Hideout Mod] (Almost 200 mods installed and running!) So I dropped off the inkwell home in a safe storage as far away from Skyrim as possible: Down in Elsewyr (The Moon Paths mod). It will stay there in a chest, safe and sound - hopefully. And so far, nothing else has vanished. :-)
It may be a conflict with the 'Portable Hole' spell mod too - I used that at the same time as using the ink well home.

hello, thanks for this incredible mod I loved it, just a few questions, can you include some mannequins and book shelves?
runestyr Sep 19, 2020 @ 4:03pm
There is a light switch on the corner of the bed. To exit, activate the inkwell "Take Inkwell Home." Don't try to enter the Inkwell Home while in combat, or it may disappear from your inventory.

how do i get out of the inkwell?? why cant u put some torches or somehting in it i cant see a thing...
Nightrunner Dec 15, 2018 @ 3:50am
No light iside the inkwell but works wonderfully otherwise. Not sure if it"s conflicting with another mod or what

An excellent addition to Skyrim, especially since you find it at the start of the game. A must-have for any adventurer, regardless of playstyle. Now Lydia never has to carry my burdens again!

On occasion, I cannot find the inkwell in the cage, but saving, quiting to the MAIN MENU, reloading the save, and then double-checking has worked thus far. The only addition I can think of to improve this already fantastic mod would be to include a shrine to cure diseases and confer blessings, but that is just me nit-picking. Consider me a satisfied support regardless. :steamhappy:

its ubercool
karondick Jul 15, 2016 @ 8:34pm

Saint Jun 11, 2016 @ 11:16am
OMFG This is INFINITELY Superior to Haven Bag. You, sir, are fucking incredible. Going to look at the Lava Lair right now, I sincerely hope it is an improvement because right now you are a BOSS and that would make you a fucking GOD.
Crampedbuckle32 May 4, 2016 @ 2:18pm
LOL Best mod ever
Enderninja16 Feb 7, 2016 @ 4:49pm
Is SKSE on steam?

Grasses Sep 21, 2015 @ 12:23am
I just wish it was a bit less cluttered, more spread out, I love how small it is though
BitShepherd  [author] Sep 5, 2015 @ 10:33pm
I've just released a new player home, the Lava Lair. Similar concept but with a little more room.
Tuprewm Aug 4, 2015 @ 3:17pm
Vampire, that's just part of it. Perfect smugglers tool
Sherble_Incarnate Feb 21, 2015 @ 7:11pm
I love this and the Dwemer Jar mod, They're my absolute most favorite house mods, for they're easily able to be accessed, and the fact that you can enter them anywhere.
Scorpion Forklift Jan 1, 2015 @ 1:26am
ohhhh nice tip ill use it next time i get
reked bai the guards :P
Vampire Woona Nov 11, 2014 @ 3:13pm
Dunno if anyone has mentioned to you before, Kurt, but just letting you know that doe to the way your scripts automatically replace the inkwell into your inventory every time it is removed, this can lead to potential smuggling exploits when entering a scripted area where youre not allowed to have items of your choosing... Someone might purposefully store cheaty items inside the inkwell before entering said scripted area, (eg: being sent to jail), and since the inkwell cannot be removed by any means other than activating it, it will still be in the player's inventory and thus by extention anything held within it. just so you know.

@TC I understand your problem. Both of my mods were geared toward a vanilla game. Auto-sorters are challenging to begin with and when other mods add ingredients and change crafting it becomes almost impossible. I don't have Skyrim installed since I had to make room for a couple other games. Let me see what I can do.
Toilet Clauger Jul 20, 2014 @ 11:20pm
I love the mod as well as Dwemer Jar, could a non-item sorted version be created/removed from origial. Item sorter doesn't like other crafting mods.
Bear Jun 9, 2014 @ 4:47pm
Beautiful Mod! Extreamly useful!
ChevalGlass Jan 12, 2014 @ 3:03pm
Hey MegaKurt could you perhaps share your script that you used to teleport the player to the inkwell and back to the same location they were before?
1 Watchman Dec 19, 2013 @ 3:34am
Prefer this mod to the Dwemmer Jar, mainly because of the ease of navigation around the Inkwell.

Could you please add Chaurus Chitin, Charcoal and Linen Wraps to the list of items for automatic storage and use, as well as the alchemy and smithing for the Dragonborn DLC if possible.

Many Thanks.
Bert Sep 18, 2013 @ 4:17pm
Absolutely brilliant! Give me convenience or give me death!
BitShepherd  [author] Sep 2, 2013 @ 11:05pm
When you subscribe to and activate the Inkwell mod you should find an Inkwell in your inventory as a potion when you load your game.
Tatowoo Sep 1, 2013 @ 2:22pm
may i ask where can i get the inkwell?
Leaxdin Aug 21, 2013 @ 9:18am
haven bag vs the inkwell house this wins as the haven bag give you access to items that make your game easy, you can get an elven dagger in it so theres no need to buy one or weild anthing else.
lrh_sd Aug 21, 2013 @ 7:46am
This is a gread mod. It's become one of my favorite player homes, great work.
BitShepherd  [author] Aug 3, 2013 @ 8:39pm
Check on the headboard of the bed.
engineer's fluffy pubes Jul 27, 2013 @ 6:49am
weres the light switch???
1 Watchman Jul 24, 2013 @ 4:46am
Great mod, who needs to buy a house when you can carry it with you, don't even need a follower to carry all your loot, just store it for retreival ans sale at the merchants. :)
DigTooDeep Jul 12, 2013 @ 8:43pm
Ok thanks, i didn't know that.
BitShepherd  [author] Jul 12, 2013 @ 8:15am
The "Don't Panic" button moves all items from all storage containers to your inventory in case you need to move out or disable/upgrade the mod.
DigTooDeep Jul 11, 2013 @ 9:35pm
This is probably my favorite mod, but what does the "don't panic" button next to the anvil do?
cleaette Jul 10, 2013 @ 10:03am
I ABSOLUTLY LOVE THIS MOD !!
mikesepticeye Jul 7, 2013 @ 3:51am
i wanna jump in
MrGrorn Jul 7, 2013 @ 1:24am
Thx, perfect ^^
BitShepherd  [author] Jul 7, 2013 @ 12:03am
@MrGrorn Look for my other mod Dwemer Jar. It's larger than the Inkwell Home with all features minus the backstory and flora.
MrGrorn Jul 6, 2013 @ 8:28am
oh now i read: a little bigger version i meant ^^ sry 4 this mistake

also a quest to get the inkwell would be great. Like old dwemer mechanics to build it on your own maybe. But the Story you have written is also so great.

Best mod in Workshop!
MrGrorn Jul 3, 2013 @ 12:30pm
Its such a great Idea!! A little smaller version would be great, like a greater ink potion ^^
But rly rly good work guy!
The Notorious DID Jul 3, 2013 @ 6:59am
To anyone considering Subbing this mod... do it.
It's very well made, with a fantastic concept and even a little hidden backstory inside. Give it a shot, I highly doubt you'll regret it.
To the Author, MegaKurt, bravo, keep up the good work, and thank you.
Dbuzzyb Jul 1, 2013 @ 5:05pm
this hss to be one of the cutest house mods arouund.
BitShepherd  [author] Jun 25, 2013 @ 10:56pm
Just released a new dual-level dwelling called the Dwemer Jar. Bsically it has the same features as the Inkwell Home but with a "stronger" Dwemer theme.
Void Jun 23, 2013 @ 3:54pm
i love it! its so convinient, got to be one of the best mods to have!
Nekomancer Jun 17, 2013 @ 11:12am
this mod was aproved by Sheagorath, the deadric prince of madness. >:3
Correct Opinion Man Jun 16, 2013 @ 5:08pm
cool
TheBigBahuga Jun 11, 2013 @ 5:17pm
Haha nice story man. Well, I will be looking out for it man.
BitShepherd  [author] Jun 11, 2013 @ 3:50pm
The Inkwell Home won't be a multi-floor dwelling. I've tried tinkering with the scale and it doesn't really work. The ceilings are just to curved and I don't have the software to create my own nif files. I will look at creating a second portable home. Perhaps the Dwemer who came up with the original formula had a vew experiments that survived.
TheBigBahuga Jun 11, 2013 @ 11:23am
Alright, that does make sense. If this were to be two-floored I'd probably use it.
