If you purchased the game through Desura, we'll gladly give a Steam Key. The game has come a long way since then and there are new levels, new objects to find, new achievements.. etc. We'd hate for you to miss out on those.

For the game update: We had put the PC version aside for a while, mostly due to the slow place of Oculus development, but also updating the UI system and reef building.

Development is now back on.

Any details on an impending Steam release?
flitterish Dec 17, 2015 @ 8:17pm
Congratulations on being greenlit! In light of Desura's bankruptcy, will there be some other way that those of us who bought the game via Indie Royale's Mixer 2 bundle will be able to get a Steam key when this game finishes Greenlight? I'm worried that Desura will go away any day now.

I love it!,just waiting for the game in the market...

We've received the DK2. For those following along... we are thinking of requiring DX11 support for the builds that support the Rift. This allows a much higher image quality, especially around the terrains. Any machine purchased in the last 2 or 3 years should be able to handle it fine. Non-rift builds will still support DX9 and Mac builds will be unaffected.

@Creator: Great news! :-)
Swift Creek Games  [author] Apr 9, 2014 @ 12:22pm
We are actually working on the new UI system now with Oculus Rift and controllers being integral to that work. We also had our order in for the Rift DK2 within 5 minutes of receiving the email the system was up. We're definitely committed to the rift.

@Creator: Any updates on Oculus Rift support?

I made a quick collage of a couple of the trading cards. We made a dozen and would decide on which ones to add after approved for Greenlight.
Swift Creek Games  [author] Mar 6, 2014 @ 11:34am
Thank you all for your votes. We've been on Greenlight a year and it's nice to see a refreshed interest.

Yes, we have trading cards already made.

We will be updating Desura in the next day or two with new graphics. If you have DX11 on a PC, you will see a big bump in visuals.

It has also been asked in the discussion areas: If we make it through Greenlight and you purchased the game on Desura, then YES... we will give you a Steam key.

Something really appealing about this theme - Im in - pay model ftw btw, I despise ads and in-app purchases and never play free games because of them.
Roald Hoffmann Mar 5, 2014 @ 2:27pm
Well you've got my vote! I just picked up the current Indie Royale bundle which is how I found out about this game, so I decided to head on over here and give my thumbs up. I wish you guys the best of luck with your game! Thanks!

Will there be achievements and trading cards added? once it gets on steam?
Swift Creek Games  [author] Jan 7, 2014 @ 3:54pm
True, the web player "demo" build doesn't timebomb. The Oculus Support depends on the controller support to be fully integrated. We're about 90% of the way there as the reef builder on the main menu is more difficult to use than we would like. It's great for mouse or touch, but the controller is a different beast. We have lots of ideas to try out, and once it's clean we'll turn Oculus back on.

We'll also be having the first update in a couple weeks which will be adding new levels and content. Controller and Oculus is planned for right after that, so maybe around the end of the month (being January, 2014).

@Swift Creek Games
Hi, i just played the game using the Unity Web Player. Says it is expired but still works :-)
I'm interested in Oculus Rift support, could you supply an update on this?

Fish vs. Crabs beta is over. We're now in Release Candidate stage. If you haven't had a chance to play the game, stop by the web site and download it. It will only be free to download and play for another week or two.

I like playing tower defense games, they are always fun and great at passing time. I'm sure I would purchase this game at a reasonable price.
Swift Creek Games  [author] Sep 28, 2013 @ 2:32pm
We're still here and not dead yet. This game is nearing completion, so be sure to check out the public beta and get your friends to vote. We've added lots of easter eggs, really cranked up the visuals and effects and given you a lot to do while you fight off those crabs. So please give it a go, report some bugs and help us make a game sure this game is rock solid from A-Z.

New Screenshots have been posted showing the more compressed UI for PC/Mac/Linux. The UI with the controls on the screen are mobile shots for iOS and Android.

@ansible42 - Wow, thanks. We do have lots of ideas on where to take the game and we hope people will also give us lots of feedback, which sparks new ideas as well.

Sure, it's not a game for everyone but so far the response has been so overwhelming for us we are deeply humbled and grateful. We are working very hard to give you a great game.
ansible42 May 12, 2013 @ 12:09pm
Looks good, I love tower defense any any createive new way. Swft creek has a good record of expanding on their games after they are deployed, this seems like a good platform to expand on.

Multiplayer PVP tower defense. good idea
Holden_Mcgroin May 7, 2013 @ 12:30pm
cleverest tower defence twist I've senn! who would ever have thought of fish v crabs! genius. and a brilliant into video as well.
Hope you do well with this one. Its one of the handful on greenlight at the moment that's retoring my faith in creativity in the games industry.
No zombies? good! Gets my vote :)

Nice concept!

I love how intense the music is. It just makes the gameplay even harder to watch.
Swift Creek Games  [author] May 1, 2013 @ 10:32am
@Fletch.... it sounded good at time. :) Yes, it'll get some work.

BTW: The Oculus Rift is up and running with the game. We're putting together a video to show the game with the rift and people's reaction.
