Have been watching this game for a long time. Just missed donating to kickstarter, and now I'm wondering if that was a good thing? Unless backers are getting way more information than everyone else seems like t he Dev has either quit or is non-communicative. I still hold a small hope this game will be finished, looks grand.
BananaPig Feb 24 @ 3:10pm
Did Sithoag NOT just make up the fact that he found this game and decided to work on it? Did... DID HE SUFFER THE SAME FATE?

The dev just updated his kickstarter page. What could this mean? The post is titled "The Lowdown Showdown" and is locked for backers only. I don't think the game is dead yet. He did say something a couple months ago that he had to rework the AI of the game. Hopefully the public will get an update soon.

I'm beginning to suspect the creator has cut and run, hmm? Or died. It's about time someone found out.

@Corpsolian if you actually followed this game's prgress you'll find they move rather fast, and can run too. The above footage is an early trailer. Much has happened since that was made.

@Bugamn Try the main site: http://ritualdementia.com/ Last dev post was Fri 5th of July, 2013

Azmo Jun 27, 2013 @ 1:13am
Love the minimalistic graphics, they really give this game a unique feel. Can't wait to kick some eyeball-behind-the-door butt.

Further there is an insane cool Game Development Kit out there on Kickstarter:

Hope they will add full HL / HL2 mod conversion as a stretch goal :)

@Fenrir007 There is some videos of the game on youtube
Fenrir007 May 26, 2013 @ 7:11am
I asked for a video showing the combat mechanics before and I still want one before I will vote.
Fistful of Ebola May 24, 2013 @ 6:53pm
As a long time player of roguelikes I can only laugh at complaints aimed at the graphics. I'm also going to defend the "clunky" play-style as necessary to the atmosphere. The creator has stated that combat is intended to be difficult, necessitating that the player be clever as opposed to having the fastest reflexes or the most min/maxed character. For me, that harkens back to older survival horror games where the clunky combat forced a sense of helplessness on the player. I can see for the preview video that this game is working with a similar philosophy, +1 for you.
Fax Murderer May 15, 2013 @ 11:04am
Excuse, I meant to say, "Is there any way that you could increase the movement speed of the player?"

I some times leave words out by accident.
Fax Murderer May 15, 2013 @ 11:02am
Is there any way that the movement speed of the player? I know that sounds dumb, but it's a big problem that I have with some indie games. Like, there's really no need for simply walking to feel like a chore.
ZaNaRkAnD May 15, 2013 @ 4:57am
lol this game wont realased
Dropbear May 9, 2013 @ 6:15pm
holy balls i love every aspect of this game. some parts remind me of ocarina of time, some of minecraft, some morrowind in there. i'd say good luck to you but i doubt you need it you handsome, double sexy, amazing individual.
Toryu-Mau May 7, 2013 @ 3:19pm
Permanent Limb Loss?! Gene Pool? Alter Reality With Insanity? Make love with Demons? And
on top of that Create Ecosystems too?! This is almost too much Awesomeness for one game!
DaveBot May 3, 2013 @ 4:38am
I actually find the low-res graphics to be quite appealing. I don't know why, but I think it might have something to do with it then resonating with me on another level that says "they aren't using shiny graphics as a selling point, that means they'll have to pull it through on originality and innovation instead" and that is something we really need these days with all the shitty cash-grabs that have been attempted recently with the high budget releases in the past year or so. Maybe you should consider poking Good old Games to give your game a look? I'm sure there's a massive audience for these types of games there (being one of them myself).
h3avyrisk May 2, 2013 @ 6:45pm
I'm extremely interested in seeing how this concept turns out.
Rocky1138 May 1, 2013 @ 1:11pm
Looks great. Reminds me of DS graphics. The only thing I'd ask for is a faster walking speed or the ability to run.
Ninjabuntu May 1, 2013 @ 12:28pm
I voted for Style and gameply alone... i want to play this for the cute factor...
The Wuggly Ump Apr 30, 2013 @ 4:43pm
Very excited for this.
