Unfortunately, I don't have the original .psd for it anymore, so it'd take a while for me to properly remove it. If more people want a skull-less version, I'll consider making a separate addon for it on L4Dmaps.

I've had a similar experience with other mods doing the same. There's no other skin mod hidden in this, so they should work fine unless that mod has a tweak on the Ellis skin.
