So it's exactly like Just Cause 2 without the parachute with steam punk textures? It'll be hard to compete with that game as it was very well done and it had a huge budget. Good luck.

That is possible, have you looked at cryengine? I have seen that to be quite good with making excellent quality graphics. Btw, doesn't Unity crash a lot?

@Silence Yeah... I have refined the story and mechanics now, but I am now wondering which engine to use, as unity3D seems very powerful and may be better suited to my development style

Sounds awesome! However, maybe it is a little too "goal-setting" for a game, as much larger companies can't even accomplish things this big. However, I really love this idea and if you can do it, please do it :)!

Sounds good. I really hope you can do well with your idea. I have a horrible tendency to never finish anything I start, so I assume most others do as well (being egotistical and all), but I really do hope you well with it. Who knows, maybe I'll be an alpha player some day ;)

Seems like, people could actually comment on the concept, as this is intended, rather than the logo which has so little to do with the game in such early development. The dude seems to be in pre-pre-pre-alpha, which is essentially, I JUST HAD AN IDEA. LET'S MAKE A GAME time. Seems good, but I think the story would need to be worked on heavily by someone if it were to feel interesting at all. Too many indie games just throw the story out for a cool singular mechanic, and that can totally work (See Minecraft), but if the mechanic isn't rock solid, a good story is the only way to make people stick with it in the short term, and rave about it in the long.

Hope you can get things off the ground. It seems like a cool concept, to be sure.

Usually making a logo out of models is a bad idea. A logotype is an image that, ideally, looks good at any scale, sums up the project succinctly, and has a pleasing aesthetic. I do graphic design, but you don't need me to tell you a good logo makes a good impression.

I know the logo is bad. I'm just starting to create the models in blender, once I get them finished I will update the logo and add some images of them. Once I have done that I will start making the terrain and city, start animating. Then I will submit it to greenlight, then start coding and adding in the mechanics :P

I think it would have been better to wait for a better logo ... and name. the current logo being a complete turn off its a background with repeating textures a sideways pistol and name font that doesnt go with the rest of the picture.
