only the equipment is grindable. The raw material is not.

Hey love the concept Palorius. However I was wondering wether only Dragon armour was crushable to powder or the bones & scales fresh from dragonslaying grinable? Also once they are in powder form, what alchemy properties do they convey? Cheers Zenbela

Bob, if you have an item and the requirements, then the option will pop up automatically at the smelter. Do a quick check on the uesp website for item ingredients. Malachite is used in glass and elven equipment.

This is an awesome mod! It really helps with building my house and getting raw materials. I wonder if it's possible to perhaps make a list of sources (or something like it) where if I needed Malachite and I've never made anything with Malachite, I wouldn't know what to break down since I don't believe there are any weapons or armor with the word 'Malachite' in it. That might require a lot of code though, I'm not a programmer. Perhaps something in the popup window that says 'can be broken down into ***', something like that?

@marling I understand, but honestly I think not getting back the extreneous things is enough. There actually is a loss many times due to the item type limit being one. (i.e. you can't get more than one item class from crafting) and I had to forego my original idea of getting all metals back.

@gauffa I will have to look at it. The problem is the amount of code I needed to go through. I pushed an all nighter because of my OCD but probably made a few mistakes. Give me a list of items you see a discrepancy in and I will take a look at it after a bit. I have an extremely busy month coming up.

Very Nice, but getting all the metal back seems too easy. Seems like a 25-50% penalty would be better, even if not exactly how it works in real life(smelting loss penalty < than 5%)..

somthing i have to mention steel at least carbon steel isn't really an alloy its just iron with a reduced carbon content, steel is bsically iron with a carbon content reduced below 2 % steel and alloy steels are two different things

Love the concept. I did notice that some enchanted items were not available for smelting but others were. I have an enchated elven bow that shows up on the smelter listing. I would prefer to not have the option of destroying enchanted items this way. Again, LOVE the concept.
