Force Revoke Guarantees Action

Descripción
Information

This mod adds a new diplomatic action to force the target country to revoke a guarantee of another country. Because this diplomatic action can only be used by great powers, the Rights of Man DLC is required (if you don't change stuff in the mod files).

Features

This mod adds a new diplomatic action in the great powers category to force the target country to revoke a guarantee of another country.

This diplomatic actions is visible, if:
  • you are not a subject country
  • the target country is not a subject country
  • you are a great power
  • any country that you have discovered is guaranteed by the target country

The diplomatic action can be used, if:
  • you are not at war
  • you do not have a truce with the target country
  • any country that you have discovered is guaranteed by the traget country and does not have a truce with you

After using the diplomatic action you will get an event to choose the country of which the target should revoke its guarantee. If the target country is AI controlled, the options will list whether it will accept or decline the demand. If the target is controlled by a human player, he can decide if he accepts or declines the demand after you chose a country.

If the target country accepts the demand:
  • the guarantee is revoked and can't be restored for 10 years
  • both countries' opinion about you decreases by 50
  • you will get a truce with the country from which the guarantee was revoked from and vice versa
  • the traget country will get a truce with the country it revoked the guarantee from
  • the target country gains a Casus Belli against you

If the target country declines the demand:
  • you lose 10 prestige

The decision of the target country is proclaimed for every country that has discovered the target country.

Compatibility

  • EU4 Version: 1.36

  • requires Rights of Man DLC
  • compatible with all DLCs
  • should be compatible with any mod that doesn't change the guaranteeaction diplomatic action in ...\common\diplomatic_actions.

localisations

@LimonenZitrone

Debug shows that game engine doesn't recognise this trigger:

is_not_at_war_or_warleader = yes

Eu4 Wiki doesn't show this either.

hello sir this mod currently breaks whenever you send the AI the notification to revoke the guarantee

I have found that while using this mod in the latest update together with other mods, it usually crashes my game upon recieving the popup for a force revoke guarantee. Unfortunate.

@Basse: If you give credits it's fine. Though the patch notes for 1.35 mentioned an effect to remove guarantees, so you may want to wait til then.

Hey, love this mod and would like to incorporate some parts of it in mine. Would you mind sending me a message?

Can you please make a mod that lets you enforce your dyansty among a nation for peace deals? Lets say im playing as Ming and I invade Korea. Instead of taking things I enforce my dyansty among the nation. It would be amazing if I could because it would be realistic because nations have done it before.
