The Wizard Howell

Beschreibung
Backstory:
-"Howell, don't be stupid you know there is no way to improve our current knowledge of fire magic. It is complete, there is nothing more to be studied." Said the leader of the mage council which was about to throw Howell out of it's members.
-"No, you are wrong! I am 'The Wizard Howell', the greatest fire wizard in skyrim, I know that our fire magic is far from done. Many centruries ago, there live a great sage named Yubaba, who wielded magic like no other. More powerful than any of us in here. She wrote a book, I have tracked it down to here in Skyrim. I will find it and show you." Howell argued.
-"Fine, you will have one last chance let it not to waste. Go and collect this book, this tome on fire magic and show us how much more powerful your magic will be when you have obtained it's knowledge."
Howell noded, turned around and walked out of the round room. Once he had exited, he looked around and found Calcifer, (which most thought was a silly name for the obvious female flame atronach) dancing around in the moonlight in the yard. Calcifer noticed her master and hurried to his side.
-"Oh Calcifer, when will they understand that there is no such thing as absolut knowledge? there is always more to learn." According to his latest research the book had been at the dwarwen city of Mzinchaleft when the Dwemer disappear and the logical conclusion was that the book was still there, he even had the key to the section the tome was kept in, so he decided to go there.
After traveling a few days on carriage, they arrived at Dawnstar. Howell quickly gather up the supplies he needed and the traveled towards Mzinchaleft which wasn't far from the town. When the arrived at the outshirts howell felt full of pride. This would surely prove them wrong! The headed into the ruins and started searching for the gate into the lower parts. They arrived at a sort of clearing with stairs leading down into a yard and then lead to a gate.
-"That must be it Calcifer!" he screamed almost jumping with joy. He pratically jumped down the stairs and started walking towards the gate when Calcifer hissed and throw up a big shield of flames around him, arrows which would have hit him it the flames instead and turned into ashes. Bandits had laid an ambush for them! Once howell snapped out of the confusion, he charged a fire cloak and put it on himself, then when he had located the attackers he started throwing fireballs at them, he was afterall, skyrim's foremost leader on fire spells. Well, even a master can be overwhelmed. -"Calcifer we need to get away from here! they are too many!" he screamed after he saw several melee bandits sprinting their way. He summoned a couple of flame atronach and had them act like decoy. Him and Calcifer then run up the stairs..(well, Calcifer hovered) and manage to carve a way out of the ruins, the bandits had probably not expected such a powerful wizard. Once way on their way back to Dawnstar howell realised the horror he faced. How could he possible get the book now?! He was indeed a powerful mage but he was not exactly a battlemage. Calcifer turned her had and tilted it slightly so to make her look sad. It made Howell a little less depressed and he even smiled a little. I need to find someone, someone who had a nack for taking care of bandits and finding hidden artifacts. He needed to find some sort of adventurer. I had just arrived back to Dawnstar and stood by a rockformation thinking about where to find such a character when he noticed someone coming past. The character had an extraordinary aura of power and potential.
-"Excuse me, are you? Yes, yes you are. You are Dragonborn!"
and so the quest begins.

The Wizard Howell is the first out of 4 quests by the older brother of the two Linka421 brothers. The quest all award spells and all involve a rather odd mage. This first quest is centered around 'The Wizard Howell' and his quest to find an old tome. It will result in the player obtaining the spell Howell's Fireball which unlike the vanilla fireball is less costly and more powerful, but! takes a lot longer to charge, also why is explained in the quest.
To start the quest head to Dawnstar and towards the docks!
This quest also includes two magical items
Stone of Laputa: which will fortify your magicka and lower the cost of alteration spells.
Dagger of the Forest God: which will paralyse it's victim for 4 sec

All in all the quest takes about 20mins to go through if you take it slowly and don't cheat;) While I plan fo the entire questline of 4 quest to take atleast over an hour.

It would be very helpful if someone who have played it through could tell me if the run into any bugs, such as grey faces or that the dialogue won't start.

Just for reference Miyazaki didn't write the novel that the movie is based on. That was Dianna Wynne Jones. If you liked the movie you should try the book it makes a lot more sense story wise and the Witch of the Wastes actually has a significant role other than cursing Sophie.

I'm aware that Howl is not Miyazaki's original creation, but since he made a movie about him I still feel like including that reference.^^

Miyazaki is an amazing artist! He has written many stories, but he did not write Howl's Moving Castle. Of course he added his interpretations, but the English writer Diana Jones has the claim to the novel. The same is true for Arrietty, but his last work is written by him. I love how Miyazaki branches off into different cultures and realms of fantasy. I will definately have to try out this out.

@ lucfle97
Miyazaki is a movie maker and director and animator. I suppose he is the creator of the books based on his movies. and those are those you read. if you haven you really need to see all th studio ghibli movies.
and yeah it is kinda hard to make young looking characters in skyrim. I will try to fix it.

Oh yeah, a more obvious question, why's he have to be so old?
