Thanks for that. I just couldn't bring myself to window up my base for launch (Scanners+loot runs+Stopping to drill EVERY quartz node I see = "Hmm, four spare lockers of quartz still gets me **** all for for my glass needs".

But the design still works out without windows agogo. The worst part is hack job devs never making moonpool placemtns work in a sane manner. So every tower has "Guess the moonpool orientation!" going for it.

I like the design of this base. It looks clean, cool, and everything is well placed. It is worth noting that, with a little patience, you can also put more solar panels just to the sides of the tower top, facing upward. Not that it's needed. I did that on a 130m tower base I made 233m down near the southern blood kelp drop off; got a screenshot of that up.

The only thing that makes me dislike bases like this is the damn teleportation ladders.

Look man, rotating solar panels to match the rotation of the sun isn't part of our budget. So 360 degrees of panel spam will have to do.

Half those solar panels aren't even facing the sun! But at least we met out carbon environmental footprint quotas! *Proceeds to strip mine the surroundings of quartz further*

So. Much. Quartz. Though since it's in the shallow end, not a whole lot of reinforcment plates needed.
