Stealthing Mallcrasher - Works on all Difficulties

Think it isn't possible? Think again! Mallcrasher may seem to be a loud only mission, but it's so old that the devs didn't put anti-stealth measures into it!

Loadout

We're gonna start with the loadout. To those attempting this must have good stealth skills. This level is stealthable, but it's gonna be tricky. Therefore, bring a stealth build, preferebly one with body bags.

Silenced weapons are greatly appreciated, but special mentions to the bows, crossbows and the pistol crossbow, as well as the Ace of Spades and Throwing Stars throwables.

The reason for this setup will be explained later.

Step 1 - The Liquor Store

Go in to the mall and proceed to the top floor via the closest escalator to the right. You'll be in front of the liquor store. That's where you need to be first.

If there's no guard watching across the way, then go ahead and tie/kill and bag the cashier.
If you're tieing her, make sure to do it after she moved a bit forward after she served a customer. This will make her harder to be seen by other customers that come in.
Break the liquor bottles one by one, either by your weapons or by melee.
Weapons that we can get back ammo like the bows and the throwing stars are so good here since you don't waste any ammo at all.

If you do it correctly, you'll be at around $25,000. That's halfway done!

Step 2 - Guards

We're on our next step, subduing the guards.
Your priority here is to eliminate the guards one by one without raising the alarm or alerting other guards or civilians. To do this, you'll have to kill and bag them at certain blind spots where they stop.
Preffered places are: In front of the liquor store, besides a clothing store in front of the jewelry store, behind the jewelry store facing the stairs and car shop, and just beside the car shop.
There are always 2-3 guards on that floor.

For civilians, I suggest to kill the jewelry store clerk and hide his body in the liquor store. This gives you easy access to all of the guard stops as well as to the loot inside the store itself. Any customers going to the liquor store can also be tied/killed.

Loot: Breaking glass that's INSIDE the jewelry store will not make anyone alert. That means you can break all the glass inside and take all the jewelry you want. If you found safes, it's highly recommended that you use silent drills or picklocks. Using a regular loud drill can attract a guard from the lower floor and using c4 will fail your stealth attempt.

Step 3 - The Other Stores

Now that we're done with the hardest step, it's now time to complete the heist. Control the top floor by tying/killing all civilians there. Make sure the lower floor guards and civilians don't see anything you're doing.

To complete the heist, you only need to destroy 2 more stores:

• The Pear Store
  
  
• The Baggage Store
  

These two stores are facing each other, and is located near your exit area. Melee/Shoot all bags in the baggage store and you'll be 75% done.

Destroy all laptops, headphones, and headphone boxes in the Pear Store and you're done and waiting for the helicopter.


As mentioned by Aquil', if you bought gas cans and had sneaked your way to the top floor, you can also use gas cans and nobody will bat an eye on that burning store.

Once the helicopter arrives, it will break some glass on the ceiling. Don't worry because the guards don't seem to care about that. Simply escape with your loot and be done with this mission.


Remember: Loot bags in the area won't count at all since the escape area is not a loot secure area. You have to carry the bags if you want to make them count to your reward money. This means if you're soloing, just carry 1 bag and be gone.

If you've done all steps properly, congrats. You've just stealthed Mallcrasher. Unfortunately, there is no stealth bonus since this is counted as a non-stealthable heist. But it's the thought that counts, right?

tl;dr

• Go to top floor.
  
• Destroy every bottle in the liquor store.
  
• Kill all guards.
  
• Destroy all bags in bag store.
  
• Destroy all things in Apple store wannabee.
  
• Silence all civilians one way or another.
  
• [Optional] Grab some loot.
  
• Escape.

Course, I didn't come up with this idea. This method has been around for a while now, and the older part of the community may have known of this method and several others that may work just as well. Where I learned this method is from GeneralMcBadass's video here:

The video is a bit old, but the method is just as what I described here, only with multiple players doing all the steps at once.

Another one is this guy, who solo stealths but used the reverse order instead.

By the way, the prices of some stuff vary. Sometimes the wine store only gives you 20k, but then the jewelry store gets you to 25k (The jewelry store's glass is meant by the glass cupboards covering the jewelry)

Easier way is:
Destroy all wine in the wine store
Destroy all glass in jewelry store
Smash all windows on the car in the car shop
Sneak to the Pear Store and break every electronic you see.
You don't need to kill every guard and civvie.
