Buildable Home Resource and Tutorial

Описание
*Note that this is NOT a mod, this is a resource and also a tutorial for people wanting to MAKE a mod. Move on if you are not in this category of cool people. SHOO.

Nexus Version[skyrim.nexusmods.com]

Lately, the creation kit has been giving me MAJOR issues with bookshelves. Whether I copy and paste them from vanilla interiors, or spend forever trying to make them myself, they always end up broken in game.
It happens at seemingly random, which makes it all the more irritating to discover and root out the issue...

I have gotten around it for now by pre-making all my bookshelves to ensure that they work, then copy them from one cell to another.

Since I'm working on loads of stuff, I decided to take the time to make every bookshelf in the game, and even make a few custom ones as well!

Dwemer, common, noble, nordic, orcish, wall-mounted, all in one cell for you to copy and paste into your mod.

All bookshelves are aligned at 90 degrees so they are easy to place, and they were built with the grid, so they should line up in rows a tad easier as well.

But that is not all!

There is also a palce to copy weapon racks and display cases from should you so desire.

Also included is a small tutorial on how I did a few things in my Buildable House mod that I get asked about a lot.

To use the tutorial, go to the 000_BB_HomeTutorial cell and click on any of the yellow exclimation marks. When you go to edit their attached scripts, you will see each script is a small tutorial.

The tutorial covers:

1. Using markers as Enable Parents for objects.
2. Using one marker for enabling and disabling multiple objects at once.
3. Cutting Navmesh using collision cubes.
4. Making simple scripts to Enable and Disable markers.
5. Scripting a menu system.
6. Making a modular system of purchaseable home upgrades, using menus, dialogue, or quest stages.
7. And a few other tips as well.

You don't have to give me credit if you use this to help make a mod, but it is always a kind and courteous gesture to do so! Surely Bethesda will shine down upon thee for comitting such acts of generosity.

Note: If you are using the Steam Workshop version, and you cannot read the scripts I have attached. Use a tool like BSA Adopt or Fallout Mod Manager to extract the archived data from the ResourceandTutorial.bsa.

PS: Sorry about resorting to text tutorials, but my mic is terrible and its not on my list of priorities to purchase a new one...
My mic likes to pick up on fans way across my house, and makes it sound as if I am being abducted by aliens. I had to heavily audacify (new verb?) this video's audio to be comprehensible....

If the time soon comes I acquire a magnificent microphone, then I will take the time to upload video tutorials on this shtuff.

Just had a weird thing happen after using your mod. Skyrim would NOT load my mod after saving it with your resource. I had to reopen my mod in creaiton kit without your resource, save it, then skyrim loaded my file. Wierd.

Wait a minute, are you having problems with the bookshelves in terms of the books falling off the shelves all the time? I try to make a custom bookshelf in my house with invisible walls but the number of books the shelf can contain always changes, thus the books disappear or some of them disappear on the shelf with the rest on the floor or 1/2 way across the room once you enter the cell.

The Mannequin Bug was the wandering. I noticed I didn't have a NavMesh under them and after I put one under them, they stayed in place, at least for now. Do I still need the Vanilla Script Fix?

Any of the objects I used, I rotated them at least 45 degrees from where the first orientation direction was when I placed them in the scene. That's Z rotation.

Whoah, awesome, this will help me a lot in making an upgradeable home!

The mannequin still has the mannequin bug and the shield plaque drops the shield and weapons onto the floor when you enter the game. Plus the plaque is missing from the wall. I rotated the plaque and tried both sides with the same result.

NobleShelf02 doesn't work for me. Could you please take a look at it and verify that it works for you? It won't activate the bookshelf. Thanks
