For me sonar/ is the best non-mandatory upgrade you will never get lost in caves and always find your way to the surface..Storage is great if you are a hoarder whore like me and either solar or engine efficiency,for me solar is more economical in the long run..

Hull reinforcement is useless mod..It doesnt work on attacks from fauna(creatures) only when you bump into walls or something you get less damage for that impact..

Bleeders also spawn in sparse reef and lost river. Ghost leviathan spawns are northern blood kelp lost river grand reef and void also biters can spawn in jellyshrooms and apparently there is a reaper spawn in the bulb zone but its very close to the crash zone
