What is it?
A client side mod that alters weapon postures and sight offsets.
  • More centered weapon postures, to give you a more realistic feel (effective point shooting).
  • Scopes are always below the horizontal line (improved awareness).
  • Consistently further away positioned sights for all optics and pistols held away from the face.
  • Proper parallax free effect for holo sights.
  • Holo reticles have the same size no matter how far or close the optic is to the eye.
  • A set of chosen workshop mods are used to enhance the experience (sounds, attachments, less phong on the weapons, etc.).

Standard Version or Enhanced Version?
  • The standard version has no custom skins and models and can be used with most weapon mods from the workshop.
  • The enhanced version has a set of chosen custom mods for attachments and custom sounds from the workshop. The reticles and weapon skin tweaks (less phong, more realistic look) are done by me.

Recommendation how to use:
I recommend using the console value "CL_ADS_WEAPON_FOV_SCALE 1.3" to have a full effect with the new sight offsets, as intended by this mod.

Available console values for "cl_ads_weapon_fov_scale":
  • 0 = default, sights very close
  • 1 - 1.3 = custom settings for sights being drawn further away (any value inbetween works)

Available console values for "cl_ads_fov_scale":
  • 0 - 1 = 0 has no aim zoom, 1 is the max setting for aim zoom (any value inbetween works)

Known issues:
  • There is a lot of weapon spring if you turn or switch to aim (rubber arms effect). I am trying to find a way to limit this.

The mod works on unmodded servers (I discovered one so far), but most servers have some sort of a modification which makes the modified weapons and attachments invisible.
Seems there is little I can do about it. Playing on fully vanilla servers is the only way as it always was basically.

I suggest Ground Branch for a similar weapon experience, but better.

I like this mod but the sights are messed up.
I wonder if there is a mod like this that does have the vanilla sights?

@Psychomorph hey dude! I like this mod very much. But i found that aimpoint and eotech do not show correctly sometimes. And the gun seems not as far as ur pics show while aiming. Is it because my previous mod collide with urs?

Why I haven't your perfect FOV ? I see your skins but I dont see optics held away from the face.
