It's not even most of the 2.0 changes... JUST the hyperlanes one.
The upgradeable starbases are quite useful and powerful even towards end game; even the auto reinforcement is a step up from what we have in 1.9.
It's slow, boring and generally shity.
Well this method is what the developers decided to FORCE everyone to use with 2.x +
It was a stupid decision and proven by the fact that the games rating has dropped the the rather abysmal 'mixed' rating.
Those mod authors who didn't outright delete their mod or leave are usually only providing 2.x versions.
Meaning it's a pain in the ass to find anything I want to add to my game.
So if you do make a 2.x version, please make a new mod upload and leave this one here, as I'm planning to use this one in my new 1.9 game.
Kind of ironic but this was one of the things I enjoyed doing when I first got Stellaris, way back in 1.4 or 1.5... then as soon as I started doing it, they removed the ability to vassalize em.
2.x is shit!
