Equipment Slots Overhaul

Description
A modification on the Player's Inventory Panel and Playable Character's Base data, to add a set of visual only equipment (Cosmetic Slots) and swap function for armors (default hotkey is "a").

WARNING: BACK UP YOUR GAME SAVES AND UNEQUIP ALL ITEMS BEFORE USING THIS MOD.

Works perfectly on Single Player mode but in Multiplayer mode, cosmetics (visual armor look) will appear random but can be easily remedied by manually swapping weapons or armors

Do you want ESO for your Human Companions too? Use ESO with BiA compatibility

Use ESOEC if you want compatibility with Torchlight II Essentials mod

Use Super Inventory Panels mod if you like ESO with 20-Page Stash

Or how about Overlay Stats display with ESO on Diablo III UI theme? Subscribe to this mod instead

Features
  • Cosmetic Slots - a set of armor equipment slots that only serves as visual customization and equipment's benefits will not affect the character.
  • Swappable Armors - a set of hidden equipment slots that can be accessed by switching them to your current armor set interchangeably, just like with weapon swapping.
  • Stash Switch - is an added button at the upper right side of player's inventory panel, to be able to access your 20-Page Stash anywhere. Buy. sell, or shared stash transfer directly to Player's Stash!
  • Smart Tabs - is an added function to all inventory tabs' hotspots, this will allow automatic selection of a particular unselected tab, to make life easier and prevent so much button clicking. (i.e. if you get the hang of it, turn it off if you can't)
  • Compatibility with Brother-in-Arms: Warbounds mod to make the human companion be able to use cosmetic slots too.

Important Notes
  • Weapon Swap buttons ("I" and "II") have been changed to avoid issues using two swap functions
  • Cosmetic Slots are hideable in the Panel

This is a severed piece of my Torchlight II UI + ESO mod.

The term "Cosmetic Slots" came from this mod by the same name. Credit goes to Breck for bringing this concept to the workshop.

I would also like to credit steffire3 for introducing me to mods such as Cosmetic Slots that lead me to an overhaul idea for equipment slots.

No problem, I wrote this sounding more knowing than I am. What is that fallacy called? I can't remember, and I can't remember where the problem was explained to me - I think on github somewhere for one project or another. Anyway, I'm glad to have helped!

@Exo Datum I may have completely disregarded that possibility and possibly due to the fact that cosmetic slots for me is a unique idea at that time, unlike now that I see them normally implemented by actual game developers. It seems it did not bother me, at the point where I don't have to mention it here on my mod page. Anyway, I cannot confidently provide you a definite explanation until I checked this myself in-game. But if it happens that this is really the case then you explained it best and thank you for the notice.

So it doesn't mention it here like it does on Breck's page, but the game engine can only show the armor from one set of slots, and this can't be changed on the fly. This means that this mod will change your appearance to show only whatever is in your cosmetics slot, and will show your character default armor (or no armor) if the cosmetic slot is empty - even if you have armor in the normal slot.

This also means that you can't use a unique armor piece and see it at the same time.... maybe not a problem unless you are playing adventure mode, where you have to buy all your armor. Here's a solution, and I wish not hope everyone will get to hear a long, nerdy rant about "cheating" in TL2:

Sadly I keep appearing naked to my friend, mod seems mostly borked in multiplayer no matter how much I mess with armour slots.

Nevermind, I figured it out. Torchlight 2 (or maybe Steam) will only actually load the "first" 50 of the mods for T2 that you are subscribed to, and if the one you want is outside of that it won't show up.

I am having the issue where this mod does not show up in the mod list to be loaded into the game even though I am subscribed. Is there a way to fix that?

This causes problems if you have any other inventory / bag mod affecting pet/stash/inventory pages/space. Cosmetic armor slots wouldnt show and just "ate" / vanished my armor if rightclick-equip. Could manually put them into the normal slots, but it didnt show it equipped visually.

Restored saves and disabled BAGMOD then everything worked fine.

Not sure what the "enable smart tabs" does tho. *shurg*

Could you be bothered to make a "standalone" pure Cosmetic Slot-eso part?
Would love to use this mod but my inventory mod, BAGMOD; is just too much to do without.:steamsad:

Sadly, I cannot grant mod requests anymore due to being away from my files and no time to spare with modding for an unforeseeable future...
