How to Play Disciples 2 ROTE on Windows 7 x64

This guide will teach you how to make Disciples 2 Rise of the Elves work on Windows 7 x64. Unfortunately you can't use the SHIFT+TAB function of steam.

Short Version
- Activate Direct3D and make sure Compatibility Mode is deactivated in ConfigEditor.
- Set Discipl2 icon to run on Win XP SP2 compatibilty mode.
Long Version
1) Go to your steam library, double click on Disciples 2 Rise of the Elves, select open configuration. In configuration check "Use Direct3D" and make sure "Compatiblity Mode" is unchecked.
2) Go to your steam library again, right click Disciples 2 Rise of the Elves, select the last option "Proprieties", then go to "Local files" and click on the first option.
3) That should send you to the local files of Disciples 2, there right click on the "Discipl2" icon, to to "Proprieties", then go to "Compatibility", check "run this program in compatiblity mode for" and select "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)".
4) Click on "Apply", then click "Ok".
5) Go to your steam library, double click on Disciples 2 Rise of the Elves and enjoy your game.

PS: The game also has a map editor "ScenEdit", you can find it in the local files of Disciples 2.
PS2: The game can be still be played online using GameRanger, and there are active players.
PS3: Make sure you're decent in singleplayer first, many online players are good.
PS4: Keep in mind that this is a strategy game so think and predict what happens next, no rambo.

doesnt work game still crashes on endturn and if the npc offers allinace, reloading doesnt help
