Description
*** Featured on Top 5 Skyrim Mods of the Week. This quest now includes full voice acting.***

THE FALSE ONE RISES, begins with an invitation to accompany a famous traveller on a grand adventure... Before long you are slumming it with the scum of Skyrim. Squeezing out information by whatever means necessary as the body count rises. You'll be facing other adventurers and you may want to take a friend or two with you.

This quest doesn't hold your hand. It requires just a little bit of reading clues. You will be making conversation choices that reflect your style of character. You will be travelling to different locations.

There is an interesting story, some nice loot, violent enemies and an exciting final battle.

This mod requires no other mods to play. It is unlikely to cause conflicts. It adds new characters and situations, not locations.

It starts as soon as you log in. Let me know if you beat it.

A new and more ambitious adventure 'Rescue Bronwen' is now also available on Steam.

Many thanks,

Erebus

Voice Cast:

Dire Wolf & Reaver: Alex
Akenova: Midden
Sven: Ard
Eva: Gemma

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Q. HOW DO I START?
A. Find Tatermallion in Arcadia's Cauldron, Whiterun (probably upstairs).

Q. THE QUEST DIDN'T UPDATE AFTER I FOUND TATERMALLION.
A. It is not designed to update until after you have spoken with Akenova. Until then you have to do a small bit of detective work. Read the clues and follow them : )

Q.DIRE WOLF WON'T SPEAK TO ME.
A. Save your game. Quit. Log back in. Should unblock.

*******
UPDATE: Increased volume and speed of all voice acting. Added some scripts to kick-start fights.

This story continues in the quest 'Rescue Bronwen', which you will find in my workshop. Thanks.

Thanks Xena, I appreciate the feedback and am glad you enjoyed the adventure. You might try the sequel Rescue Bronwen (most up to date version is on the Skyrim Nexus). Thanks, Erebus

it was a fun quest, I enjoyed the story and the voice actiong. The fights were also challenging which was a good change. Problem: I had to attack them. Even after talking the quest could not progress unless I "attacked" the NPCs, even when their own dialoge suggested they were going to fight me. That is my ownly issue. Great idea and fun short story. Will look forward to reading more about the Cold Lords in the future.

Hey thanks Bashtori, I did plan to make some further adventures around the Cold Lords... (they are mentioned in Rescue Bronwen)... but I don't have any further plans atm. I like your ideas though : )

Like perhaps, the cold lords catch on to your attempts to stop their project and send you false leads which though you believe are stopping the project, your actions actually help their schemes. I don't know. It was just something I was expecting to happen.

Beat it, though i felt it was really short as well and was expecting a bit more. I do think the concept is interesting and hope to see more.

Hey thanks for the feedback LadyofHera. From what I'm hearing I think you would really enjoy Dovahkriid Grenzganger on the Skyrim Nexus. If you want a quest with more ambiguity and mental challenge this might appeal. Thanks for playing, Erebus

Not really all that fun, to be honest. I beat it within five minutes -mostly because the clues weren't really clues, as every 'clue' told you exactly where to go. Also, your description is a bit...off. You're not really 'squeezing' info out of anyone, really, it's all straight-forward and you don't even have to intimidate anyone. It's not even long enough to be considered a quest -and whatever loot you're talking about might've been invisible, because I couldn't find it.

Donut, your dogs a fucking bad ass. Just saying, set the pimp to essential.
