Proper X360 Pad Gas/Brake Fix

How to enable proper Gas/Brake support, fixing the half axis problem that plagues the Xbox 360 controller in Direct Input games.

EDIT: Updated the link in the guide, Steam is outright removing all Mega links, had to update all my guides, used Google Drive instead.

You may need to click the link twice or reload the page after clicking it to gain access to the file due to a bug with Steam hyperlinking being broken.

This is only a super basic guide on how to enable proper Gas/Brake support while using the triggers. This helps you to control your vehicle better as many of you may be used to holding gas and brake at the same time in some racing games. This also ONLY works for Xbox 360 controllers and MAYBE Xbox One controllers, I have not tested this with one.

Fixing The Problem

First thing's first, you'll need these:

Open the zip, grab the four files and place them all in: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Street Racing Syndicate\Bin"

After that, you'll need to setup your controls as such:


You only need to set Z ROT+ and Z AXIS+, the rest you can leave the way you set them.

The game assumes that you're going to use a steering wheel or a stick for brake and acceleration so both axis need to be set as + for this to work. The included files do all this for you, you only need to set the controls in-game and save them.

I also have a patch for 16:9 resolution, might be the language patch causing problems.

Yes, but even without MSI, the game crashes.
I think the difference is that I downloaded a patch for 16:9 resolution and another to choose a language other than English.
One of those patches must be causing the problem.

@Helder Rocket, that's strange. I've tested this on many different rigs and never had an issue with it not starting. Do you have any other programs that might be trying to hook into the game? Such as other overlays or MSI Afterburner?

To everyone having issues with the link- you must COPY and PASTE it. Steam has a very hard time with hyperlinks for Google Drive, it isn't OP's fault,

Also, I can confirm that this DOES WORK on Xbox One/XSXS controllers, as well as the Razer Wolverine v2 Chroma.

Please try to click the link twice, I believe for whatever reason when clicking on a hotlink from Steam it removes part of the link when opening it in your browser, it seems like clicking it twice fixes it for some reason, I'm unsure why.
