1459.97 dollars? Damn. I hope they release a proper patch so you can enjoy the game without stretching at some point.

My monitor is actually one of the top of his class: is the pg348q asus ROG, 100hz, gsync, 3440x1440p (34"). It's amazing in every use, but it has a standard price of 1300€, even if lately we can found it around 1100/1200€, maybe for the recent IFA 2016, where no better gaming (so high hertz and gsync features) monitor was presented, not by acer or Asus (only some interesting LGs with 75hz and in freesync mode :( ). So for now it remains one of the best, there are difficulties building a 21:9 (curved) with more of 100hz refresh rate (they said it's impossible, we must wait oled), they can just change size of the monitor and maybe resolution (actually 3440x1440 at 100hz is the same hardware stress of a 4k at 60hz), but nothing more... and only asus and acer (with his predator x34) seems interested in mantain a gsync monitor, that is a great Plus features nowdays.

For me 21:9 it's the top form of gaming, i can't go back <80hz and i can't go back to 16:9 anymore, there are very few games that doesn't allow 21:9 nowdays and panoramic games like Rise of tomb raider, action-exploring like batman or shadow of mordor are simply stunning. FPS (omg DOOM) are more immersive like sports game, strategic has more space on screen etc...

In this case i found online that we can change the ini files and set manually the resolution... it works great! (we can even change the FOV from 75 to 80/90/100/120 etc... but for bioshock 80/90 is enough) Now it's on 3440x1440 :D Bad menu, with a simple edit in the config file we can make it works great on 21:9, as always not a great effort by 2k.

I've really wanted to get into 21:9 even though I don't think it's going to be the future. It would be so immersive for the sims I play and take up way less space then a monitor. I hear they are going to add 21:9 support but if you don't mind me asking how much was your monitor, how many hertz and what brand?

I played it so many times on console, i bought it now to play it "nice" on pc, but no option for 21:9 XD The game starts fullscreen but it's locked to 2k resolution, and i have a 3440x1440 resolution. That's not nice, at all, for a "remastered" version.

If you buy the Remaster I think you still get both. The original has more options but also suffer from crashing and less polished models and textures. The physics cap can easily be removed from the original with a mod.

what a shame. I did see that they will be updating things with a patch soon so that should be good. I know its been so long since Ive played BS1 and even bs 2 so Im going to hold off til, or if, it gets fixed before buying them. I miss games like them =/

Yes. 2k said they would add more audio options but I have no idea if they will make the options menu as detailed as it was originally. Note the missing shadows. I had to dig around the INI to enable them.

those are the only visual options o.O? lol

The original had a better options menu too. Other than textures and models (And having the physics uncapped by default) the Remaster currently is lacking more features than the original.
