I dont like mods :P

I can say this.
I have 55-70 fps on Gtx960 4gb, i5-3.2ghz, 16gb ddr3. win7x64 Video:max,1920x1080. On terrain
[now]
I guess after physics reworks in survival update, this building not working smooth anymore. So it's not surprising if you got lower fps on newer graphic adapters or cpu

how to make beautiful preview

You need replace image "steam_preview_background"
on your custom image (512x512, PNG)
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Scrap Mechanic\Data\Gui\steam_preview_background
Go to sharing/update your buildings :)
