How to

1) Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\bin\vpk.exe
If the above file is not there, then Library > Tools > Left 4 Dead 2 Authoring Tools

2) Subscribe to the mods that you want
In this example, Nindzya Nyub's L4D2 Alt Survivor outfits. http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=335127749
Once you sub them and open the game, the files are in:

Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\addons\workshop

3) Move the vpk files to another folder and rename them something easier to identify such as:

mgs5_bill
mgs5_zoey
mgs5_louis

Also create a common folder:

mgs5_common

4) Unsubcribe from the mods or they will continue to download when the game starts.

4) Extract the vpks either with command line vpk x <filename> <filename> or just drag the file to vpk.exe to automatically extract in the same folder as the vpk file.

5) Sort through the folders and move files that are the same to the common folder while preserving folder paths.

6) Once finished, vpk <filename> or drag the folder to vpk.exe

7) Move the vpks to the addons root folder
