Communitas Expansion Pack
4 items
We believe Civilization is a fantastic game, and want to perfect it while remaining as close to the core experience as possible.

CAT makes the AI "smarter not harder." It improves the intelligence of the AI, while reducing its bonuses. Cat also adds many tools essential for modders. The other parts of the Communitas Expansion Pack (Ceg and Cin) use these tools.

If you believe in these goals, try this expansion pack!

Expansion Pack Parts:
  • Communitas Map
This map creates several continents with realistic climate, and numerous offshore islands.

  • Communitas AI and Tools (Cat)
Expands the AI and mod tools of Civ V: Brave New World. Both the enhanced gameplay and interface changes below require the tools.

  • Communitas Enhanced Gameplay (Ceg)
Improves the fun and strategic balance of BNW gameplay.

  • Communitas Interface (Cin)
Improves the visual interface of the game.

Are they any updates on CivFanatics that fix the listed below problem of AI Civs bleeding GPT?

Getting Help
Updates and support for the Communitas mods via Steam are non-existent, as the account belongs to Thalassicus who is otherwise engaged at the moment.
However, at both the CivFanatics[forums.civfanatics.com] forum and in the GitHub[github.com] repository you will find updates and support.

I rarely (read never) come to the Steam forum and your comments will be missed.
The CivFanatics forum is very active and many users frequent it. If you have any problems you will find a solution there.

Happy civving

Yep after this mode, other civs have problems with gold in average -80 per turn in medieval on prince diffulty, so game becomes easy you have money they dont.
This makes the game too easy. I recently moved onto Immortal and had difficulties but after I installed this mod one, maybe two civilizations are able to keep up with me. The rest are floundering around in the Medieval era while I'm several techs into the Industrial. In addition, every Civ seems to hemerage gold in the tune of -200gpt. Almost everyone is needy and begging me for my resources or gpt.

this mod has a problem working along side another mod - the ingame editor. CIv says it's the tw_inut.lua file i nthe tooltip folder that's doing it

hallo. Having trouble with Harald Bluetooth. First of two attempts: imediately upon placing the starting settler into a city, the interface with city production was empty, as was the Tech tree...bugged out of that. 2nd attempt, settler had upgrade demands with only bad upgrades available...also had some wrong action icons, for instance Airplane Patrol; still managed to get to the city though...but it still had nothing to produce. Tech Tree wasn't empty, but the starting techs were dark when they were usually green; was still able to select a Tech. So far this does not happen in normal BNW, nor with any of the other Civs under Communitas.

Apparently, this doesn't work with Gods And Kings.

I agree with Blejky. I LOVE the Interface and the tooltips but I feel like the changes to the AI made them too easy to beat. I play mostly on Deity and I have been beat multiple times < Turn 50 by the AI before without the mod. I've made it to 4+ cities with 2 archers and no war with Zulu's starting 8 tiles away from me with it. O.O
Or to put it more simply, I have yet to lose since using the mod.

Without it I usually play from behind for at least half the game but I can start on top and stay on top with the mod. I may be utilizing this incorrectly though. Do we need to use the Ceg mod as well to give the AI more advantages again? I wanted the icons above my troops and the tooltips, but I want a challenge again. Any tips would be appreciated.

Great work, but Ai is way non aggresive even on hard difficulty. there is almost no war and when i declare war to another player five turns later he wants truce even if he is stronger then i am. Everything else is great.

Is it posible to disable yours Ai modification to play whiteout it? Or to use another AI mod that makes them more aggresive?
