Trouble using the Tram Stations? (Assets by JSF-1)

If you have subscribed to any of my Tram Station assets you may or may not have encountered some very minor hiccups (stop placement, Stations not in the menu, and Tram spawning). This guide solves those problems!

TROUBLE PLACING STOPS?

Sometimes the game likes to fight with you when it comes to using these assets. Specifically placing stops can sometimes be weird. For whatever reason the game has a hard time pinpointing the platforms. However there is a very very easy solution to this issue. If the game starts to miss the station than all you must do is move your cursor just outside of the station, along the track and the game will find the platform.

Here is a picture of what I mean. Placing your cursor in and around one of the two circled areas will ensure that the game always finds the stop!

TRAMS NOT SPAWNING?

These stations use the vanilla Train station as there template so the stations act accordingly. This also includes the "ability" to spawn vehicles (just like how Train stations can spawn trains). HOWEVER since these assets ARE NOT train stations, vehicles cannot actually spawn from them regardless of what the game thinks. So if you have set up a tram route and all of a sudden there are no trams even though you built a depot well then here's what has happened and here is how to fix this.

Trams are not spawning because the game thinks the stations are depots (which they are not), however you can fix this by simply opening that routes menu, opening up the "Depot list" and assigning the line to the correct depot. Once done the line will function like normal!

STATIONS NOT IN THE TRAM MENU?

This is a very simple problem with a very simple solution! If the stations are not in the tram menu then that means you most likely don't have the "Tram Station Track" mod enabled. Without it the game will think the assets are broken. Ensure the mod is active and you won't have to worry about the stations not being there (and by extension not have to worry about sitting through all those load times for nothing).
