Road Sensors (Compact Edition)

Description
Lay sensors across your roads to detect when vehicles are present. They're like pressure pads, but for roads!

Besides vehicles it will also open road gates for Workmen, Janitors, Gardeners, Cooks and Snipers, even if they are walking from south to north. You can use various buttons to customize settings.

Make sure to place the sensors as shown in the screen shots!

This enhanced version of the original mod (made by Themias) doesn't use a custom sprites.png for 100% compatibility when using many mods.

These road sensors as using customizable update intervals when checking for vehicles/staff, instead of every second in the original mod. Perhaps this could make vehicles/staff wait a little bit longer in front of a gate, but it should also increase overall game performance a bit when using a lot of sensors.

Use this mod together with the fabulous RoadWorks mod from Sambot:

UPDATE:
- Added a 3/6/9 seconds interval timer when checking for vehicles/staff. Click this button to let vehicles and staff wait longer/shorter in front of a gate (default=6sec).
Added a 1/2/3 seconds interval timer when storing the Triggered value. This makes it possible to have pulsating statuslights. Interval 1 or 2 = Solid light, 2 or 3 = flashing light. This depends on how fast the game 'forgets' the Triggered value by itself = your CPU power. If it's not pulsating at 3 then you probably have an even slower machine than me...
- Added a Perimeter Statuslight, found in the Objects menu. It can be placed on a perimeter wall (duh).

hello, as of update 15 the road sensors get a script error when loading the game. uninstalling the road sensor and installing them again fixes it. can you fix this?

This mod has been tuned to work with RoadWorks mod. This means that the Prisoner Bus will only stop in front of a Small RoadGate, which is for 1 lane traffic. It doesn't know what the original gate is, nor other types of gates. This is because the bus from that mod is scripted and doesn't know any better.

The halfroad sensors MUST be placed on the tiles shown in the screenshot, because that is the only way how they will let staff through: the one above the gate checks the space between the gate and the bottom sensor for staff walking north.

The sensors hold buttons to tweak the timers when they let things pass.

And as soon as I sent that message, people activating the sensors is now intermittent and is down to timing on when they cross the sensor. Even if I put the sensor right up against the gate and door next to it, a waiting workman will not activate it unless they pass on it at the right moment. Damn it xD

Aha! Thank you, excellent. I love how you kept both, as I can use the 2-piece one either side of the road one to open gates for pedestrians that walk on the pathway.

Only thing is it appears the prisoner bus isn't an "authorised vehicle". From from first block from the gate, up to the 5th, I placed sensors in each, all linked it, and it triggered none of them, so I can only assume it wasn't added as an authorised vehicle?

They are in the utilities menu, not the objects menu so you won't find them there.

I can see the perimeter statuslights, but no sensor under "half-road", "sensor", "road"... nothing.
