Update 29.04.2012
- Fixed a few minor issues.

The Hunter's Cabin of Riverwood is a free player home that will be available to all players, almost as soon as you start the game. The perfect mod for those who want a beautiful, simple yet functional house from the very beginning, whithout feeling that you're ruining, or going against the lore. (perfect for your hunter/ranger/archer character)

This is NOT the ultimate player house, for the simple reason that it's not suppose to.

=== How do I get this House? ========================

Simple, just go to Embershard Mine (the first "Mine" icon that appears on your compass when you escape from Helgen). Once inside the mine, fight your way to the treasure room (you can't miss it), there you will find a key named "Hunter's Cabin Key" and a Bandit Report (if your interested in the background story). Finish the dungeon and exit through the rear entrance, once outside just continue towards Riverwood.

The screenshots explains it even better.

================================================

=== Features: ===================================

- New player house/lodge, just outside Riverwood.

- Realistic background story ("Bandit Report" and "Hastily Written Note").

- Book Shelf, with room for 14 books (7 x 2).

- Lost of plants and flowers (Ingredients) around the cabin.

- Safe storage chests.

- Fully functioning Book Shelf, with room for 14 books (v1.5)

- Cooking Pot.

- Tanning Rack.

- Grindstone.

- Huntsman Bow + 100 Steel Arrows.

- Archery Skill Book.

================================================

OTHER NOTES:

- I'm using the Creation Kit so all the cells I've visited (while making the mod) is marked as changed. I can confirm that nothing has been changed in other cells that the ones I've mentioned in my description. I might try to fix this at a later date.

- I want this to remain a simple, lore friendly house, so I do NOT plan to add any Mannequin, Alchemy Tables, Forges etc.

Beautifully decorated. Very tasteful and cosy - not over crowded yet not empty.
The only problem I have is that little chest/ lock box thingy on the desk where the note is. It's not interactive. I would love to put my keys and jewels in there, as it seems to be perfect for housing such things!
Dear MarHeim, if you're reading this, please make the lock box interactive! ^^

Seriously? It's in Embershard Mine, one of the easiest and quickest dungeons in the game, and the mod creator basically points out exactly where the key is. You can't miss it.

At least this player home has some sort of story explanation for why it's empty rather than just being inexplicably up for the taking like many others.

I do not know why, but the 1st time i went to the location, the cabin was not there. I restarted game, and loaded an auto-save from Markarth and fast traveled to Embershard mine, and the cabin was there and beautiful might I add.

Nice little cabin! Cozy & pleasant, well-situated in the surroundings too...

Backstory makes me feel even better about having cleared those bandits out of embershard first thing after escaping Helgen... =)
